Sometimes a thread is moved and it will say "moved" in the forum it was originally posted in and if you were subscribed to it, you'll stay subscribed.
But other times a thread is moved and it won't say "moved" at all and it will just appear in another forum and if you were subscribed to it, you won't be any more. I don't mean deleted threads, I mean threads that are moved using this second method. This is not a good system for obvious reasons. |

You know if you have nothing useful to say, why post (this is directed to the person who wrote "No one's making you stay")

I'm talking about threads that were moved to another VISIBLE forum but your subscription to it vanishes and there's no sign of it in the original forum ... so the thread is there in another VISIBLE forum and you can read it just fine but you don't know where to find out. Let me know if that made sense. |

no offense OP, but your threads were probably deleted due to pointlessness.
you're new. slow down a bit, take a step back, take a deep breath and see how things are moderated here. it's not as bad as you think. I'm surprised you haven't been given an infraction yet, the fact that you are new, might be working for you in that aspect. as for moved threads... usually just means it was put in the wrong forum and there was another more appropriate |

Geez I post a suggestion for improving the forum and that Guru mod tells me to leave ...
In case my explanation is still unclear ... for example, I posted a thread in Region A Blu-ray about Monk Season 8 on blu-ray. That thread was never deleted and it was never moved to any mod forum. But it was moved to a VISIBLE Wishlist forum. That's fine. I'm not complaining about anything .... All I'm saying is that when it was moved this way, it just vanished from the original forum with no trace AND your subscription to thread also vanished. So you would have no way of finding the thread except by searching the forums. And this has happened with not just threads I started but that other people have started but I was subscribed to. This is about improving the forums.... geez |

And I don't care that threads are moved. I just don't want my subscription to the thread to vanish when the thread is moved. Get it? |

Post a link to a thread in question......
And if they are your threads you're referring to.... a good start would be reading the description of the forum you're posting in, such as.... Blu-ray Movies - USA and Region A (482 Viewing) Discuss Blu-ray movies, announcements, release dates, etc for USA and Region A. If it's a "I hope XYZ comes out on Blu-ray" or "Is The Dark Knight a good movie" then it doesn't belong there........ (as an example) It would be "Wish List" for the prior, and "Movie/T.V. Discussion" for the latter..... Either way, a link would clear up the confusion. |

An example https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=103056 This was posted in Blu-ray Region A and was there for a while and then was moved. I DO NOT CARE THAT IT WAS MOVED! What I care about is that when it was moved (a) there was no trace of it in the original forum; it just popped into existence in the Wishlist forum and (b) my subscription to it just vanished. Another thing that happens is when I am subscribed to a thread that is merged into another thread, sometimes for some reason the subscription to the thread just vanishes (i.e. no automatic subscription to the merged thread) |

OK, finally you are getting it but here's the thing... sometimes there's a new subscription but sometimes there's no new subscription. So it sounds like they use different methods or there's a bug in the forum software.

give us a link to the thread. I'll post a test in it to see if you then get an email (in order to figure out if its a bug in the subscription, or if its a bug just in *showing* the subscription)
