Ok so this trailer is much better than the first result I had days ago on google/tube. The colors are brighter and makes the movie more appealing. I might just get it now.

Excellent film! Too bad I just bought the German BD a few months ago. I wonder if the Eureka release will be an improvement other than in terms of extras (can live without) and having the Italian audio (also probably not needed for me)?

I just saw the caps on DVDBeaver and it unfortunately has that teal look.
Probably another Ritrovata job.

Nice, looking forward to picking this up once it's in stock at the usual suspects in the US.

I ordered one from Orbit earlier for $21.99. Shipped a few hours later.

Diabolik also has it for $25.99.

I'd forgotten this was coming out. I'm definitely getting it. I saw the DVD Beaver screencaps. The grading appears to be a bit on the colder, bluish side, but not the dreaded teal fest I feared.

I totally forgot about this. Need to order it this weekend. The screencaps look good so I'm hyped about this.

Looked at this last night, with english audio. The PQ generally seemed decent, with a few soft scenes were guess orginal film elements in poor state. Wasn't sure if Oliver Reed's voice was his own, or somebody dubbing, haven't read booklet yet which should clarify.

In his interview on the disc, Stephen Thrower claims that Reed did his own dubbing, but I’m not sure. The slightly odd American accent confuses me!

For a while, it was believed that Reed was dubbed in Revolver by Frederick Neumann (who is credited on IMDb with voicing him), but I debunked this by pointing out that Reed's accent is identical to the one he used in The Hunting Party.

I worked on this release as the translator of the Italian dialogue of the movie - since I haven't received my copy yet, does the release include subtitles for onscreen text when played with the English dub?

Last paragraph: I was just going to post about this.

No, you need subs on when any (mainly) French text is displayed.

I might watch it again paying attention to any newspaper text. His wife leaves a note for Reed's character in a book, but I had to manually turn on the subtitles to read it.

I wasn't going to buy this initially. But a few exchanges here and there on forum about these Italian Noirs and "sexy comedies" and that Italian channels are airing many of these (but also bad) titles from the 60s and 70s and occasionally looking really good to great, I have been recording them and started to appreciate them more and more visually (haven't really watched one yet) so I might actually get Revolver while there's an LE around.

Any thoughts?

[Show spoiler]I wasn't sure if the corpse in the morgue was supposed to be the guy Oliver Reed shot or the guy making him shoot him? Were there supposed to be parallels between Ruiz or the musician identifying the wrong body and Reed's? like it completed the circle and the wife pulled back because she knew it wasn't over (if Reed had said "Yes." then it would have put an end to it?).

From memory since I haven't rewatched the film yet.
[Show spoiler]Reed was identifying the body of the main man. There was an implication that there were still people in in the conspiracy/criminal gang in high places, so if Reed said yes and exposed that member, they would come after him and his wife again.
Again, I haven't watched this film in months so this is from memory. Plan to get the blu next week.

Bummer. I had created subs just for the onscreen text so that the letter etc. would be translated while you watch the English dub (ie. "signs & songs" subs as they call them on anime releases), but I'm annoyed that Eureka chose not to use them.
