Heres the link
http://news.softpedia.com/news/Crysi...O-114271.shtml Personally i love how they claim to have maxed out the hardware & it's probably true except i believe none of the developers have maxed out the PS3 through means of the most effective use of hardware possible yet so effectively theres still more there if they're able to refine the techniques they use when developing with maximum hardware usage to get even better results If Crysis 2 doesn't look better than Killzone or on par then we know they're just trying to hype the game more |

The best thing is that nobody is hyping their game by claiming to max the box

I love how developers say they have maxed out the hardware, until someone turns round with another coding method and make some thing that looks even better.
Consoles tend not to get maxed out till the end of there life cycle when developers are so used to the hardware they can squeeze every bit of power out of it. |

Saying they've maxed it out doesn't impress me at all. Inefficient programming will max anything out regardless of how powerful a computer/console is. Often my pc is running at 100% even when it's just sat there doing next to nothing. That's because windows is cack and it uses far too much resources than it should.
Now if they said that the cryengine was running at 1080p & 60fps and it wasn't maxing out the PS3 I'd be impressed. |

![]() But yeah, I don't even know why Crytek would say they maxed out the PS3 and then immediately say that the fail-60 version will be the same. It's like they don't know which of their accomplishments they want to hype up, so they're trying to do both at once while sounding ridiculous. |

From the videos they have released the settings look like low textures, high shaders and everything else medium in Crysis on PC. The draw distance is awful though compared to Crysis PC. But for a console the game looks really pretty.

That fat M$ tool isn't even worth mentioning, he's too lazy & comfortable to embrace change that's for the better since he's so set in his ways with the current PC coding
I wanna see a proper Crysis 2 trailer as we've only had a glimpse at the Cryengine 3 tech demo |

Yeah even if they can prove "they" have maxed out the PS3. It doesn't mean that is as far as the system can go. It is really a factor in how they go about making games and their development of this game itself. I mean I am sure Crysis is a big game another company could make a smaller game with better graphics and faster frame rate and say their game has maxed out the ps3 and it'll look better. But nonetheless I still want to see how "good" this game looks.

![]() They make good games but it's the fact (going bit off topic) that they're too lazy & set in their ways much like Gabe to develop for PS3 which is a shame but (on topic) Crytek hopefully show them it's possible to do a great job first time ![]() |

Nope, Zooey Deschanel, but there is definitely a likeness between them. Wouldn't say no to either
![]() What I want to know is how well does Crysis run on a £300 off the shelf pc. Compare that to the PS3 version and see what it's like. No point referencing against a pc that costs £3000 (for example) or more because that will probably have video cards in it that cost more than a PS3. |
