Amazon USA actually shows TWO discs available for purchase under this title. I've seen this before, a sloppy error on Amazon's part, where the film is regrettably listed as just a "blu ray" for the general purposes of their product search engine, but the actual order page you arrive at clarifies your choices. The first option is the 4k uhd, clearly pictured as such, and currently priced at $21.49 The second option, listed directly below it, is the standard blu ray, also clearly pictured as such, and is at a lower price of $17.99. It is encouraging that the two different discs display two completely different Amazon identification numbers (ASINs) in the respective product descriptions. Hopefully when they ship these preorders, they don't botch it all up.

It is also encouraging but certainly not dispositive of anything that the 4k uhd's cover art still suggests HDR. Who knows. We'll only find out if and when we get the correct disc sent to us, shorty.

That's too bad. Looks like I'll have to make my own combo pack with the German and US releases.

Worth a watch just for the Atmos.

Thought this looked pretty good overall, but a lot of the shots in the office building where they manage the crisis were quite noisy and washed out. The scenes on the oil rig were great. The HDR made the orange safety suits pop and the picture looked incredible when the sun was about to set. Atmos was great, especially during the many underwater scenes. Even in the beginning when they were just playing around with the robot in a pool I was impressed with the audio.

If there's one complaint I have, it's that there's not enough disaster scenes. I hope the other two related disaster movies also get UHD releases.
