Anywhere I can find a review for the BD? Or anyone has the movie and can tell me more about the PQ and AQ and if it's worth buying.

A spoof. Similar in spirit to Mario Bava's Danger: Diabolik (1968), but with a distinctive Gallic flavor. I personally think that Roman Coppola's CQ (2002) was a far more successful film than OOS 117..., with a much more intelligent script. Still, an entertaining watch.

BD Release - courtesy of Gaumont. English-friendly, Region-Free. Very good video transfer (4.0) and solid though unremarkable audio treatment (3.5/4.0).

I will attempt to provide a review for the site sometime next month when there aren't too many important releases coming out at the same time.

I think this Blu-Ray was actually the first issued AVC Blu-Ray worlwide. Crisp and clear image, perhaps lacking a bit of grain, but it's a solid release, and one of the most interesting recent french films along with 99 francs.

OSS is an OK pass time, noting you must own.

CHRYSALYS and MR73 are much better buys, but they are not comedies.

The disc is indeed Region-Free. And it is not produced by TF1, it is a Gaumont release.

Also the sequel to that movie is coming out in a couple months in blu-ray

i have not seen it, but it is said to be an even better movie

i thought OSS117 was great! Jean Dujardin did an excellent job so much so that he was the reason why i got "Cash" as well which was nice

the pq/aq is good 4*

glad to hear there's a sequel will definitely pick it up

The 2016 re-release is not identical to the 2008 one. Both are BD-25 discs, but the 2016 disc is 24.000 fps where the 2008 is 23.976 fps. Unfortunately, the newer disc retains only the DTS-HD HR track and drops the LPCM track from the 2008 disc.

The 2016 disc also adds French SDH (mistakenly tagged as "English") subtitles, where the 2008 disc only had English subtitles and French translation subtitles for the Arabic dialogue. The chapter breaks are also different, with far more on the 2008 disc.

According to the info at DVDCompare, the extras have mostly been converted from 1080/50i to 1080p, except for the "Introduction" to the deleted scenes with Hazanavicius and Dujardin, which is still 1080/50i. The run times of the extras are the same. The 2008 release had a bonus DVD with a 67-minute documentary, but the documentary has not been included in the 2016 edition.
