I wish this would have included English subs as I have and absolutely enjoy OSS 117, Cairo Nest of Spies.

FNAC will have a 2-disc edition. It doesn't state what'll be included though:

There'll also be a pack with both movies in it, we'll see what becomes of that.

I guess the first film didn't do well here in the states (box office wise) to warrant a theatrical distribution, I'd love to see this but I guess this bluray wont have english subs as DCSholtis notes.

Yes it does...a masterclass with Michel Hazanavicus, Jean Dujardin, Eric and Nicolas Altmayer

It most definitely will have English subs, all Gaumont releases have including the previous film.

According to Wikipedia "A master class is a class given to students of a particular discipline by an expert of that discipline—usually music, but also painting, drama, or any of the arts".

As far as this one goes, Fnac is known for organizing them with filmmakers for some big (usually French but not always) movies. I've never been to one, but from my understanding, I'd sat it's basically some sort of conference with the filmmakers/actors involved and members of the audience asking them questions, "Inside the Actors Studio"-style. I might be totally wrong, but I'm pretty confident about this. When Fnac does this they usually release a "special edition" of the movie containing it, for example: season 5 of The L Word, Entre Les Murs, Le Dernier Gang....

For reference, Fnac special editions generally alternate between adding a masterclass, a booklet related to the film, an additional disc of special features, a set of photos or a poster.

I was going by info on DVDfr which stated no subs. I'll still wait awhile before I preorder just to make sure.

it would be reallllly messed up if they didn't include subs!!(my cousin will be heartbroken) i want to see this and my french isnt great

Nah, this is the one you're thinking about, it came out in April it's the second one in the new series, don't expect a third one before 2011!

Judging from Gaumont's history of every single one their titles being Region Free, then yes, most definitely.

BTW I strongly recommend the film, hilarious to the extreme and ten times better than the first one.

Very disappointing if the Blu Ray doesn't contain subtitles - it took nearly three years for the first film to get a theatrical showing round this way, and I'm not keen on waiting that long to see the second. Blind optimism will keep me checking, though, just in case, as I'd love to snap up the two film set.

It's a shame there are so many DVDs of French films and television programmes that don't have English subtitles - distribution of these things in the UK can be fairly minimal, and I've learned to be wary of UK editions as sometimes the subtitles are burned in and not particularly good...

I think it's pretty obvious it wouldn't have any english subtitles. This is a french movie and there are almost never any english subtitles on those.

I'm french and I gotta say that I don't even see the point for you to import this, you can"t understand all the subtleties of it, there are a lot of wordplays, jokes that only us can understand, and I don't think subtitles are able to "carry" all these informations. Unless it's dubbed in English, it's kind of a waste.

Don't mean to offend anyone here, but it's like Bienvenue Chez Les Chtits (Will Smith owns the right for the US remake), you can't understand the jokes if you're not French.

. . . well, I know what you mean, Resettito - I must have around 650 DVDs of films in a language other than English (and with sub-titles!!); what is worse, I am almost 66 years old and have been watching "foreign" language films since I was 17 and talked my way in LA DOLCE VITA - I guess I should start asking myself why I bothered . . .

I thought the first OSS 117 (well, the previous one ) worked pretty well with the subtitles when I saw it on the big screen. I appreciate the comment that a little of the humour is probably lost in translation, but we still found it incredibly funny, so something must have worked.
