I am thinking of buying the LG 32lh30. Does anyone have info or an opinion on this model?

I have an LG in my bedroom and you can look at my bedroom gallery and see that it produces a very nice picture. The default picture settings weren't that good so of course calibration is a must, but this is the case with most TV's. I personally don't know about that specific model that you are looking at. At certain price points I would weigh all options.
LG pricing is typically around the same as Samsung, and Samsung's picture quality is usually a tad better due to Samsung's ability to produce better blacks. On the other hand I find that LG LCD's have better motion handling. My LG has a 5ms response time and there is no motion blur at all with my set. Most non-120hz sets that I've seen have shown some degree of motion blur including a lot of Samsung models. That was part of the reason I went with the LG at the time of purchase because I game and I watch a lot of football. My advice is to go and check out the set in person and compare it with some other brands to form your own opinion. There are a lot of people who have an unfavorable view of LG in this forum and IMO its not always justified. You will hear some say that they aren't reliable, but according to the surveys that came out they are more reliable than Samsung. Just observe the price points in relation to the picture quality. Keep in mind also that entry level sets are not going to be nearly as good as the top models that a manufacturer will offer. Some manufacturers give you a lesser picture quality with their entry sets versus other manufacturers. Panasonic for example gives you great picture quality across all of their plasma models, but trims other features to save costs on entry level models. I've never looked at LG's entry line, but I have observed Samsung's and their lower end sets don't offer nearly the same picture quality that their higher end sets offer so comparing various brands at the same price point is definitely a must.
