i was going to see this movie before i saw the trailer because i love Independence Day and Day After Tomorrow

after the trailer, i am sure as hell going to see it now.

That trailer looked like they gave the effects house an unlimited budget to destroy the earth digitally. Of course I'll still be seeing this for the effects alone. Although, it looks like it will be a sequel to Independence Day...I have a feeling Aliens will be involved.

I don't know how controversial this opinion is or not, but I think the last decent disaster movie was Volcano, with Tommy Lee Jones.
When I saw the teaser for this, almost a year ago, I wasn't impressed. It looked like another high-concept fad movie that was banking on a joke paranoia.
But this new trailer makes it look like the first decent disaster movie since Volcano, in my honest opinion.

It looks goofy enough that it won't be taking the whole 2012 thing too seriously and I really like most of the actors that I saw in the trailer.
I'm actually looking forward to this.

That is going to be a DAY ONE BLU-RAY purchase for em. OH MY FREAKIN GOD. Looks like almost nonestop action. hopefully the plot is something to be great.

Of course its nonstop action. It's THE END of the world.

I wouldn't want it to end with a whimper, I'm paying good money too see it.

And note, the Mayan did not say the world will end in 2012, the writers and journalist throw that around. The mayan (universal) calender just stopped on that date. End of a cycle, not the world. (Maybe the world too, lol)

However, it looks like something might happen that year. According to some credible physicist, religious men, and even Nasa. They said something's going on in space that year. Who knows.

We can't predict when the world will end, but we can't predict when it wont either.

By the way, awesome trailer. Looks like a fun enough movie.
