Well finally I will be upgrading my VHS in the "coffin box" to digital. I always kept off upgrading because it's not really a movie I feel like watching any day soon, but because it finally includes Annie Lennox' Love Song For A Vampire video, which I must have been twice when it charted in the UK, I am most definitely putting in an order as links are live.

Well,finally that old dvd is useless now that the original subs and the doc are available.
Hopefully it'll be available from other retailers than Zavvi. |

It comes down to a font issue. The original had a medieval/gothic font (quite unique), that was burned in/forced and obviously intended by Coppola.
The past few releases we've only had the player generated subs. I know the original font is on the Criterion LaserDisc. Not sure about the DVD releases, but we've never gotten it on Blu-ray...until now. |

Probably because they get more money back selling the steelbook which reduces the cost of the disc for them making the cost less than paying full price for the standard release.
