A friend of mine told me this was his favorite film he's seen this year so I watched it. The film is very bleak. It features child actors, which I normally don't like, but they all do a really good job here. If you like horror/fantasy I would recommend seeking it out. The poster is terrible and I think it would have done better with a different title as well.

It's my favourite film of the year so far, even if I don't think it's quite on the same level as Joachim Trier's Thelma, which Eskil Vogt co-wrote. Thematically the films share a lot of similarities.

I think the only release to have a commentary track is the German Blu-ray. The commentary is by the director and the cinematographer, and in English, so could have been included on the US release.

Might be worth importing, especially if it has literal English subtitles for the movie too.

This is very confusing. On this site they don't mention a commentary track, but say it has German, English and Norwegian subtitles.

Anyone know if this release is region free?

The Amazon Australia listing specifically says "region free" in the heading: https://www.amazon.com.au/The-Innoce...n%3A5256531051

But the back of the case just has the logo for region A and the blu-ray.com listing says Region B and C are untested.

I would also like to know if the IFC Films Blu-Ray of THE INNOCENTS is maybe Region Free and not locked to A. Hope someone can check, I would like to import it to Europe. Thanks!
