New PS3 Bundle out yesterday!! - Blu-ray Forum

I saw the new PS3 bundle yesterday and it was awesome for anyone looking to buy a PS3. For $399.99, you get the 80GB PS3, one controller, WALL-E!, and Little Big Planet! What an awesome game and movie for free! This is the best bundle I have seen by far. It was at Best Buy, and was just released yesterday.

Will never happen. Sony could have the PS3's priced at $1.00 and people would still be asking for a price drop.

Like Goodintentions said, sounds more like a Best Buy store bundle, than an official Sony bundle. Would be great it it turns out to be an actual sony bundle though.

wrong...this is the longest that a console has retailed for that much money...

..especially during a global recession...the price is a bit steep for a console that is nearing 3 years of age...

but there will be a price drop at TGS anyways, so it doesn't matter because that is right around the corner...

What are you talking about? It is an official Sony PS3 bundle, with Wall-e and Little Big Planet Photos on the outside. It would be no different than the Uncharted/160 GB bundle. IMO this bundle is way better!

Tru is telling the truth.

It's an official Sony bundle. I still think the 80GB bundle with Resistance and Motorstorm is a better deal (especially if you're a gamer).

I see a lot of mentions of this bundle in the UK and Japan, but no word of it being in the US yet. It's also not on the BB web site, or Amazon, or TRU. It's possible the BB the OP visited put it out early.

Yeah, Best Buy is always breaking street dates. For some reason they can't see that big orange sticker that says, "Do not put out until..."

While the PS3 is a great machine, for my purposes the price is too much. I already have a BD player and I prefer the 360 for gaming. There are some exclusives I would certainly get, but I would get 360 versions of all the multi-plats.

I'm not attacking the price just because Sony refuses to lower it. In my opinion though, for what it does, the price is too high. Although we all know what my opinion means to Sony.
