FOMO or not, I couldn't pull the trigger on FL : I don't think I could have watched it as so. The higher price tag didn't help it either. I wonder what justify it as supplements seems light compared to their previous release. The movie is available for free on their site : so I suppose it is hardly a matter of rights. I hope it isn't the label testing the water for future release, because there are good chance they'll increase their price since this particular release sells fast even with this increased price. |

Real talk, what ratio is everyone peeping Helicopter Canada in? I don’t want any parts of my homeland Canada cut off from me, it’s important I know this so I get the unadulterated Canada the first time watch.

The DNR is less of an issue than what seems to be a stretched picture imo but I guess both are problematic. |

Does anyone know if the standard (i.e. non-slipcover) editions still include the booklet, like the standard FCE releases?

I see that CIP will be releasing NOBODY WAVED GOODBYE (1964), a pretty good alienated-youth drama starring a very young Peter Kastner. Kastner appears to perform his own hootenanny music in the film as well.
The release will also include LONELY BOY, an excellent documentary about the young Canadian crooner Paul Anka when he was just becomming a star. Vinegar Syndrome has this release up for preorder |

As do I. Maybe we'll get some older Canadian tax shelter films, at least that's my hope. Expanding their offerings to include more traditional feature films can only be good for the label.

As long as they keep giving us a nice mix of titles and don't fall too hard into one genre~I'll be there to support.

A nice is mix would be fine. I don't want to see another label releasing a bunch of horror when there are so many non-horror films unaccounted for on Blu-ray.

I agree about the mix. While there are plenty of horror and slasher releases out there, there are also plenty of mediocre independent films and arthouse films being released by others and imo CIP hasn't really released anything noteworthy to date. I'm not a fan of The Amityville Curse but it will probably give them more exposure because of who does their distribution.
