Julia and George’s star power will elevate their film to the top of the box office this weekend.

But seriously, it’s Black Adam. I’m gonna guess, $72 million especially due to the added…….buzz going into it.

I’m gonna go out and limb and guess only about 50-55 million for Black Adam. I just don’t think people care all that much outside of DC diehards. I’m not seeing strong ticket sales for it anywhere.

Seeing Black Adam in Dolby Cinema Friday night. My showing is almost sold out - just the first 3 rows have seats left.

I guess the BO results do count. If they didn't, then these weekly threads wouldn't appear on this forum.

Much lower opening than Shazam in France and South Korea. Yikes!

Ticket to Paradise failed to ignite the BO here in Brazil. It's a super silly movie that feels made for Netflix. I think it will bomb in North America, specially when it's competing with a big blockbuster (which, by the way, also does not seem to be very good).

Are the 3pm Thursday showings for Black Adam the earliest "early preview" showings yet lmao.

Pretty soon we will have 8am Thursday showings counting towards Friday's total. This will probably happen when the next Avengers hits.

the second weekend of Halloween Ends ($2.7M Friday, off 87%, good for $8.7M at 3,901 theaters, -78%; running total $54.8M).

that's even lower than my already very low prediction.

Halloween Ends box office is very similar to Friday The 13th (2009). Both had $40M opening weekends and now this massive drop.

Also same as both Suicide Squad movies and Birds of Prey. With Batman v Superman being even lower. The DCEU movies have always been divisive with audiences.

A- for Ticket to Paradise. Not surprised Halloween Ends is collapsing with a historically frontloaded series and bad word of mouth. After the opening weekend it was obvious Smile is gonna end up with the higher domestic total.

That’s really a shame because IMO Halloween Ends is the better movie. I found Smile to be overrated. It’s too long, has too many dream sequences, and feels like something I’ve seen a million times before. Confused why it keeps making money but I think a lot of people seeing it are ones who don’t watch a lot of horror movies so to them it seems a lot more shocking and horrific than it actually is.
