Default Do you leave your conditioner/protection on?

I just added a APC H10 to my system and am wondering if it's advisable to leave it on all the time. I wouldn't question it, and just turn it off every night, but I have a Dish Receiver/DVR in the setup that calls the mothership periodically. Not sure why (probably something to do with hot boxes), but if I hadn't set it up that way, I'd be charged another $7ish a month. If the power is off, obviously they're not going to get their phone calls.

Is it a big deal to just leave it on? Do you? Do they typically generate a lot of heat (my cabinet is a closed design)? What about power consumption?

I would suggest leaving it on. That's what I do. I have the APC H15 and it generates not heat. I'm not sure about power consumption though, I would assume that they have those specs on their website.

I leave mine on all the time. When the power goes out it shuts off though, so I have to turn it back on manually.

I leave my APC H15 on all the time, no reason to shut it off.

That's interesting. My H10 will come back on by itself if the power goes out.

I know when the power goes out because the lights will be back on my H15, therefore it does power itself back on automatically. I run mine with all the lights off. I keep mine on all the time, unless I'll be away for a couple of days or more.

my h15 is left on all the time so the DVR doesn't pitch a fit.

My H15 has never been turned off yet. But I also keep my computers on 24/7 (sleep mode but never shut down). Not sure if I would see a dramatic decrease in my electric bill but never tried.
