I remember how mad I was when I was 16 and I bought the soundtrack to Crossroads and it didn't have the climactic guitar duel.

Default Great scores/soundtracks in not so great movies?

We've had some cool discussions on here about movie scores/soundtracks, and it's awesome to see so many people who are into film music. That being said, I think it's important to sometimes distinguish between a movie's visual production and musical production, so I was curious as to what scores people really love or enjoy, even if they didn't think the movie shaped up quite as nicely. Keep in mind this should be more of a music appreciation thread, not a movie bashing one. Everyone will have a different opinion of what movies are good/bad

Some phenomenal scores that I think come from not necessarily phenomenal movies:

Supergirl
The Postman
Waterworld
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
