As for sountracks: Singles.
Alice in Chains, Pearljam, Screaming trees, Chris Cornell, Mother Love Bone, Smashing Pumpkins. Great for the seattle sound.

The Life Aquatic. This would look great too if any Wes Anderson movies ever come out on BD. I know a lot of people here seem to hate his movies, but I think he's able to touch on a type of humor that no one else can. Anyway, before I get more off-topic...

TMNT (weird I know, but it's my opinion)
Boogie Nights
Magnolia (Aimee Mann, the girl that lost her toe in Big Lebowski)
The Big Lebowski
Jackie Brown

and No Country For Old Men (just kidding)

The X-Files, from the show with the Mark Snow score. Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, John Williams at his best. Just about anything with Danny Elfman, which are mostly Tim Burton movies. The Crow, lots of good songs. Dazed And Confused, I have this movie so many times I can remember the scene where the songs played.

I told my finace that when she walks down the isle, I am going to pay the organist to play the Imperial March instead of the wedding march.

The Metallica version of the Imperial March is a gift from above.

Almost all Tarantino films have great soundtracks, with Jackie Brown being my fav. I would also like to throw GARDEN STATE out there.

Conan the Barbarian soundtrack. It's some of the most powerful and awe-inspiring music that I've ever heard. To me personally, this was Basil Poledouris at his finest. The music just seeps inside of your head, and has a lasting impression.

And Paul Westerberg (Minneapolis), who wrote the original music and contributed two songs to the soundtrack. All my life, waiting for somebody. Uh-huh-uh, oh yeah.
