At 48hz, you may notice some flicker when watching 24P content. However, if you switch the refresh rate to 60hz, then the flicker won't be noticeable. All the 2009 Panasonics will have the flicker (that some people notice) until you get to the V series where the refresh rate is 96hz. Features the G10 has that the S1 doesn't: PC Input x.v. Color THX Mode Viera Image Viewer (MPEG2/AVCHD) Audio Input for PC LAN Port Analog Audio Output Viera Cast Here's a comparison of features between all the 2009 Panasonic Plasma models. I bought the S-1 also, but when Best Buy was reducing prices and such , the G-10 ended up being the same price as the S-1 so i exchanged it for the G-10 , then it ended up being cheaper, so i ended up witht the G-10 for less than the S-1 . Now that being said to me I ended up with a better Tv and more features , even if I don't use them , the THX mode is great if you learn how to tweek it in , I love my TV for movie vieing, but for tv like satalite its okay , I dont watch much tv anyways , but down the road if I wanted to sell it or trade it , I actually have a model thats worth more, so bottom line , when I 1st got the S-1 I could'nt justify the $300.00 difference to upgrade it to the G-10 , but when the price went lower than thw S-1 , it worked out to have it for less... hope this helps... Its anawesome TV for Movies, the Blacks are so deep ,,I just wish I got the 54" or bigger, but the 50 " works good... hope this helps.. good luck .
