I have the Arrow Blu already, so my question for the new set is do the blu’s of the TV/Ulysses cuts derive from the new restoration, or are they simply the same discs as the last release? I’d consider double-dipping if the Ulysses cut is significantly improved but otherwise there’s no point for me.

I doubt any new restoration has taken place as they already did a restoration for the previous BD release and at the time probably created a 4K master ready for future distribution so expect the TV cut and Ulysses cut Blu-rays to be the exact same discs.

*· Three cuts of the film newly restored from original film elements by Arrow Films*

Then what is the excuse for not providing ALL cuts in 4K?????

4K discs are mo' money?

In this case it is a bit weird since Ulysses cut is the selling point of the set versus the universal

Possibly also the Ulysses cut wasn't graded for HDR and they deemed people wouldn't want 4K SDR

I have replaced a bunch of these Arrows for the 4K LEs when I already owned the BD versions. AWIL, THHH, etc. All of them. Yet I am having pause here for a change. I wish the alternate cuts were on 4K.

Implementing seamless branching is also mo' money, just at the authoring stage, heh

If you already have the universal 4k + old arrow set this probably isn't worth upgrading to

Dang, Arrow is going full scortched Earth on 1080p collections, this is pretty much a given Weird Science and Elvira are getting UHDs I better unload my Blus now, luckily I never bit on the Arrow Waterworld, I still want the Ulysses cut, shame it's not on a UHD

Day one on this, no matter what.

I have no use for the limited BD as the standard BD have theatrical and Ulysses cut.

Silly question probably but, are the blurays region locked? Would love to get this as I’ve never seen the Ulyses cut… but if it’s a Region B bluray then I can’t watch it

If it's the same Blu-rays as the previous Limited Edition release (which I have to imagine they are), then they're region free . It's being released in the US though, which is region A.

I've got the Universal 4K UHD and the Arrow Blu-ray. I'll be tempted to get this new Arrow release too.

I don't know if you have the limited Arrow Blu-ray, I thought the 4K Universal looks substantially better in terms of color than the arrow did. So if you have that Ulysses cut already you may not be getting a better product than what you already have depending on if the color grading changes for the 4K Arrow disc.

One step forward as I always liked the colour grading on the Arrow BD but 2 steps backward due to the inclusion of just the theatrical cut on 4K.
