I would have to say the Cs 2 just for the simply fact that the Cs2 is rated at sensitivity at 90db just as your 60's are.
The Cs2 is rated ( at recommened power) 20w to 175w and your fronts are 20w to 200 w HERE"S YOUR FRONTS SPECS http://www.shopping.com/xPF-Monitor-60 HERE'S YOUR CS2 SPECS http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/specs/recent/cs2/ Last edited by ozzman; 07-15-2009 at 02:45 PM. |

The cs1 sensitivity is 89db and recommended power at 20w to 125w
Go with the CS2, It's made for you 60's ![]() HERE'S SPECS ON THE CS1 http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/specs/ /cs1/ |

Either will timber match your 60's. I have the CS10 with my T90's and they all have the same 5.25" drivers. However, you will not notice any audibal difference to your ears with the CS2 and it's 6.5" driver. The CS2 may have bigger drivers, but you will be hard pressed to really hear any audibal improvement with the extra 1.25" drivers that the CS2 has. I do see there is a good deal for the CS2 as HiDef-Crazy states, so for that price, it is a steal.....I'd get the CS2 based on the price point.

I personally prefer my center to have larger drivers because so much is coming out of the center channel that I don't want dialog to get lost during large action sequences. With my sonys, I would lose dialog all the time, so when I got the Energys I went with the larger of the 2 center channels and I can say that it is so much better.
Get the CS2, 50-80 of a movie is coming through the Center, better to get the bigger one in my opinion. plus as Ozzman showed the specs are more closely matched between your M60s and CS2 |

OZZMAN noticed your tv sits on top of some sort of prop(appears to be a speaker?)...I will need to elevate my tv when the cs2 arrives, what if I may ask is that under your tv and is it secure?
Im considering building a top for the cs2(imagine a two sides and a top) and placing my tv on that. Forsberg I live in fla. when I ordered the 60's they arrived in 2 days so they do ship fast. |

Smart move. When you consider how much audio (dialogue) comes through the center channel for home theater, it is wise to go with the biggest and best center that you can that timbre match your mains.

![]() My Plasma is sitting on a wooden shelf, Which i skinned with speaker cloth and put on it side. I through some hooks in the back of the TV wall and wired the Plasma to the hooks(for just more security.) I skinned it with speaker cloth so it wouldn't stand out as much and i think it came out nice If you notice in my pics,The PS3 is also put on a smaller shelf (standing upright.) I also skinned that with speaker cloth as well. For some reason that is just the way i went with it. Last edited by ozzman; 07-16-2009 at 02:19 PM. |
