Tickets sales in my area right now for Guardians 3 are pretty good but still not amazing like I would have expected a year ago. Yet I have to believe it will make more than the 106 that Quantumania got, so I will say somewhere around 115-120 most likely. The real question is will it have terrible legs like the last few MCU movies and drop off big in week 2. We shall see. I’m not seeing this until Discount Tuesday but am looking forward to it!

I predict no matter what the opening weekend is like, the usual bashers will be quick to remind everyone that the MCU is dead, and that this will be the last MCU movie they ever want to watch

This should be the last Marvel movie. Either dump The Marvels to D+ or Batgirl it. Then cancel everything else. The people have spoken.

The first Guardians opened to 96 million in 2014, and Vol.2 opened to 146 million in 2017.
I would think Vol. 3 would open even higher. If the Thor trilogy had this trajectory, why not the Guardians trilogy?

I'm not a DC fan really, but I really wanna see Keaton as Batman again, so I'm gonna end up seeing that haha.

My tongue was firmly in cheek. I’m a fan of both (although not to the same degree as some on this forum). GOTG is for sure one of the better Marvel offerings, so I’m hoping it does well.

At the same time though, Marvel have definitely had a bad time of it at the box office as of late and they need a hit, quickly.

Of course, the same applies to DC but I genuinely think Flash will do well.

Haha, I figured. Yeah, I really like the GOTG movies, and do hope this one is good. I was pretty let down by most of the entries as of late. I've managed to avoid most of the previews of GOTG3 somehow, which I find odd since I see a ton of movies. Hopefully I leave surprised and entertained.

This already looks better than Quantumania, Shazam 2 and Black Adam. Even if opening is around $110M, expecting legs will be better.

I think Vol 3 is definitely the best of the Guardians movies and I can't wait to watch it again.

Having said that, I definitely enjoyed Quantumania and Wakanda Forever a bit more than this one, because this one doesn't have an elder actor who brings gravitas to the film the way Angela Bassett, Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer did with those other movies. So that is one thing Vol 3 doesn't have going for it.

It's still an awful lot of fun and a very, very satisfying conclusion to the original Guardians arc.

Cause Marvel sucks. Or what people keep telling me.
