I knew it. Checked the Sky TV listings earlier. On some weekdays, Magnum, P.I. has only been shown in the morning, with other days both in the morning and afternoon. Just a morning screening on ITV4 next Thursday, and nothing at all next Friday. However, with it being Good Friday, the schedules will have some slight differences.

Are Legend going to be going straight into Season 2 of the original Twilight Zone TV series? Also, Sky Arts' repeat run of Alfred Hitchcock Presents is going into the fourth season this week or next, so we should see in a few weeks' time if the channel will start showing Season 6 proper, or go back to the start of an earlier season again.

Disappointing update on Magnum, P.I., but thanks for posting it. There's always the Blu-ray releases.

A couple of new (to me) cinema related programmes coming up on Sky Arts.

Wednesday 12th at 01.40 - 03.40 - What She Said: The Art of Pauline Kael

Thursday 13th at 21.00 - 23.00 - Peter O' Toole: Along the Sky Road to Aqaba

Must admit, I'm enjoying the show a lot more than I expected, so I hope you are right about a season 3.

For anyone out there reading this who is interested in finding out a little about the Wild West era, I'd recommend it.
It seems the first season has been shown on a loop a few times now, with as far as next Tuesday's episode being from the first season. Hopefully, channel GREAT! movies action has acquired the second season.

The third season started in the States on channel INSP last Thursday night (April 6th) with the season premiere "Bat Masterson to the Rescue". This coming Thursday night's new episode is called "Billy the Kid: Birth of an Outlaw".

Source of the season 3 information: EpGuides.

Apologies if this has already been posted about in the UK TV Shows sub-forum. Having done a web search, I didn't realise the second series of Time was announced last year (apparently). I saw something either on or off the web recently about the second series.

On a separate note, the third and final series of Scottish drama series Guilt (the cast including Mark Bonnar and Jamie Sives) starts on BBC Scotland a week today (Tuesday 25th April) at 10 pm - 10.55 pm, and on BBC Two a week on Thursday (27th April) at 9 pm - 10 pm. Four episodes in total.

The second series of time is a female cast I believe. (Leads at least). I read that the girl from HBO’s The Last Of Us will star.

I'm really looking forward to the second series. I have to say, pretty much all British prison series/films have been top notch over the years (Bad Girls, anyone?)

The scifi series La Brea is starting on Saturday at 9pm on 5USA. I think Channel 5 aired just the first episode of this at one point as one of their 'Paramount+ Presents' showings, but this time episode 2 is on 5USA the following week so presumably they're doing the whole of season 1. Looking forward to giving it a go

Yes, you are correct. I don't remember exactly when, but yes, Channel 5 previewed La Brea on normal terrestrial TV last year, showing the pilot episode (with the rest of the first season being on Paramount +). I could have this wrong, but I'm sure the new Kiefer Sutherland TV series Rabbit Hole was/is getting the same treatment on either Channel 5 or another UK TV channel.

Thanks for posting about La Brea's first season starting on 5USA this coming Saturday night (22nd April).

No problem, it's easy to miss things on smaller channels like 5USA so I thought I'd share that for anyone who might be interested.

And yeah, looks like Rabbit Hole's first episode was on Channel 5 last Thursday. Those Paramount+ previews on C5 seem a bit cheeky to be honest, as it would be disappointing if you watched one without realising they were only showing one episode. But I suppose they might be useful if you want to see whether you like a show before committing to a subscription.

There is a UK Legend channel, beyond that which is known to man.
Which is opening the door to another dimension on Sunday 1 January at 8.30pm, with episodes showing on the following Saturday and Sunday at the same time (and presumably every weekend thereafter).

Be sure to take a wrong turn, and enter.........
The Twilight Zone.
Cutback, has anything appeared in the crystal ball yet for the second season of the original Twilight Zone TV series being shown on Legend? Have checked EpGuides and the IMDb, and based on which two Season 1 episodes are being shown on Legend this coming weekend ("Mr. Bevis" and "The After Hours"), the weekend after next will see the last two episodes of the season (on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th May, "The Mighty Casey" and "A World of His Own").

Also, I spotted that in place of Airwolf on Legend in the Monday to Friday 7 pm - 8 pm timeslot is the original Battlestar Galactica (I'm assuming it is). It must have started this week as they're a few episodes into the series next week.

Australia Savage River (Australian TV mini-series)

Someone else here will know more about whether the Australian TV mini-series Savage River has been shown before on UK TV or on a UK streaming platform. It starts on channel 5Star a week today (Tuesday 2nd May) at 10 pm - 11 pm. Eight episodes in total.

Had to wait until tonight as my "crystal ball" only shows 14 days ahead precisely. Sadly, Legend is not entering a second series dimension, but is entering a repeat dimension instead, beginning with the first episode of season 1 on Saturday 13th May.

PS As an aside related to Galactica I was fortunate to meet Richard Hatch about 15 years ago at a Comic Con event in London, and at a Reading Comic Con around 2017/8 i met Laurette Spang, Anne Lockhart and Terry Carter. Cassiopeia was always my favourite

Legend are doing a Sky Arts then. I wouldn't think they've only got the rights to the first season as the original Twilight Zone is a well-liked TV series (unless they have only acquired the first season as a test-run to see if it does well on Legend).

I've been keeping an eye on Sky Arts's repeat run of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and with next Friday evening's two repeats they're close to the end of Season 5 (the second of the two episodes is "Insomnia" (Season 5, Episode 30).

I bet that was memorable seeing those actors at the conventions. I used to go to autograph conventions (like Memorabilia and Autographica) but stopped going because I didn't like the crowds.

Bit of a morbid subject this I know, but when you read in the news about famous people passing away it usually happens in threes. Recently though, we've lost a few famous people. There has been:

Paul O'Grady (I watched that ITV1 repeat of the documentary about him, recorded before he sadly passed away. A really good watch)

Barry Humphries (whose characters included Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson)

Garn Stephens (prolific writer, and among their acting credits is playing Marge in the (underrated) Halloween III: Season of the Witch)

Jerry Springer

Harry Belafonte

and the former wife of Bob Newhart, Ginny Newhart (this one I think I found out on the web and wasn't in the 'i' newspaper that I read regularly).

Saw Tom Atkins at (I think) an autograph convention held in The Mk (the shopping mall at Milton Keynes) many moons ago (shortly after, they moved subsequent conventions there to the nearby football stadium). A friendly, talkative guest (I can't remember everything what I went to speak to him about (I asked him about Robert D'Zar, who Atkins starred in the original Maniac Cop with), and what I got his autograph for (Halloween III was likely one of the films (whether I'd seen him in his recurring guest star role on The Rockford Files from the UK DVD sets at that point in time, I can't remember).

I was so thinking of watching the original Halloween and Halloween II on TCM Movies during the past few days (Halloween II was on last night, and will get another screening this coming Friday night (5th May). Wondering if Sky don't have the exclusive UK TV rights to the original Halloween now. During the past few years it's seemed like it's only been shown on it's movie channels (the only exception I can think of, was it was shown on one of Channel 4's channels last year as well (4seven?).

Halloween III is indeed on TCM Movies next week (Bank Holiday Monday (8th May) at 10.55 pm - 0.55 am, and a week on Friday (12th May) at 9 pm - 11.05 pm.

I think I'm in the minority with loving the original Halloween II, even though it's better appreciated these days. It's not perfect (but then again, what film is? In my mind, if I give a film full marks, I'll find fault with it later on). Halloween II has far more positives than negatives in it for me.

And that Silver Shamrock advertising jingle. Catchy (part annoying, part addictive) and memorable (for the right reasons).

A pity they never made another film in the series like Season of the Witch. Maybe today, people would be more willing to watch a film in the style of this film set during the Hallowe'en season? I quite liked the Blumhouse trilogy (the last two films definitely divided fans), but if the rightsholder (the rights are back with Malek Akkad I think) has plans for a new Halloween film with Michael Myers (I'd like to see them use that idea they scrapped, of it being a sequel to the original Halloween II, where one of the characters is a relative of one of the alive or bumped-off characters from that film), maybe have a break from Myers and do a Season of the Witch-style film?
