Who else is pissed off at the quailty of 3rd party ps3 games???

im getting so pissed off at the fact that everytime a 3rd party game comes out it always looks crappier and shitty on ps3! the 360 version always looks better. i like how the ps3 control feels on nba live 07 and stranglehold but they both look like ass compared to the 360 version! i would almost get rid of my ps3 if it wasnt for the exclusives and the blu-ray movie player! and even so the last 2 exclusive games that came out (warhawk and lair) both kinda sucked in thier own way (warhawk is online only and no bot.......they better add this later on) and (lair's controls sucked ass). who else wants to rant and rave to all the game developers and say "kick it up for the ps3 or else".

I personally really like warhawk. I'm a huge fan of the BF franchise and to me, Warhawk does for consoles what BF did for the PC. I can't think of any other game like it. (any console)

Lair, I like it, but the controls do get irritating. I wish you could turn off the motion sensing. Overall though, the game isn't terrible like all the magazines make it out to be. Have you played it?

I have to agree with you as far as EA goes. We'll see how they treat the ps3 next year.

i hate how people dont have patience for anything. It hasnt been a year even! There will be more exclusives my god. Not to mention developers need more time to get familiar with the hardware, it just doesnt happen overnight you know. Look at the early ps2 games, and ports compared to later in the generation. There was a huge difference.

well in the case of ncaa 08, and WAY worse in madden the FPS is by far the worst I've seen... they just need to get some time in the net gen era under their belt.

It will take another year for 3rd party to catch up. Warhawk also shows how weak the PSN is.

I thought I was going to be mad at the online only thing of Warhawk, but once I started to play, I didn't care.

My biggest fear was that first login. Not knowing anything and having to avoid being killed while learning. It was smooth.

I read an article in Play or PSM (forgot which one) that said to go ground at first to get a feel for the game. That's what I did.

As to other titles, it takes time. I actually waiting a year before getting my 360.

The winter and spring should bring some fun titles to the PS3. And yes, I hope game makers realize that the PS3 isn't just a 360 clone to port games to.

Warhawks with no bots, big frickin' deal. It's an online game only, you don't need bots. Lair controls are fine, yes most reviews complain about the controls but I have no problem with it. There's only a few games on the PS3 that is better then XBOX 360 version, like DiRT, Oblivion, Final Night: Round 3& Virtua Tennis 3... When I see games like Motorstorm, Lair, Warhawk, Resistance... I can't see this happening on XBOX 360 which I do own one. The insane amount of things going on without slow downs, furthur distance view, limited tearing, smooth framerates at 1080p... PS3 is the way to go.

i really think stranglehold looks pretty good, plus we get hard boiled. I think Ubisoft has really done a great job with the ps3 after a few lacking titles. i like nba over nba live, so thats not an issue. warhawk kicks ass. and lair, well.....it could be better, but its def. not as bad as ppl make it seem.

According to Peter Moore, NBA live will run @ 60 fps.

And fear not, Sony has about twice as many announced first party titles as Nintendo and Microsoft combined. And Heavenly Sword comes out soon!

I think that the people and reviews (X-"cant"Play) that dog lair and Warhawk are gamers that just are not any good. I have not had any trouble. I hope to see them on the field.

You can host your own game on Warhawk with a couple of friends, and just fly around for practice.

As far as LAIR, I know more than a few PS3 gamers who got fed up with the controls and storyline, and sent it back after about 8 hours of gameplay. So it's not just the reviewers.

As far as Ubisoft, I'm really looking forward to (PS3-exclusive) Haze coming out soon.

It seems like every one thinks because Ps2 was so good that every one will know how to use that ps3. It'll take time to make good ps3 games. When the 360 first came out there were so many bugs in there games it wasn't funny. Sony did the right thing by putting a hard drive in every ps3 and BD. Sony gave programmers all they need to make some unreal games, they just need the time to learn how. Heavenly Sword!!!!! Over 10 gig's for audio LOL Don't even know how the 360 is going to keep up here in a year or two when games are gettting good.

The key to playing ANY game is to LEARN how it's played. I think the Reviewers and Gamers who are quick to judge are just frustrated because they haven't learned how to play the game.

I know the downloaded version of Warhawk has no manual, which is dumb because it needs one, but in the retail version it comes with the manual. Lair comes with a manual and just, dare I say, READING the manual will actually make you a better Gamer for that game.

It's not the quality of the games, it's user error. Learn to play the game and all should be well.

the demo of live showed terrible lag at least on mine... hopefully it will be 60 but based on the demo I wouldnt buy it.. I think everyone just needs to give the ps3 its due time to adapt to next gen, you really cant compare games to a system thats been out for over a year... and/or the wii which shouldnt even be compared with other next gen consoles... so just give ps3 its time

Being released in 2005 it wasn't until christmas 06 that people were making 360 games like gears so by that logic it's always 12 months after said sys launch
that 3rd partys are starting to get to terms with the hardware.
FACT : Every launch game has a rush order on it...the likes of Halo,Mario 64
and Call of duty 2 are rare mostly launch window stuff is surpased before the next holiday.

The direct compairison between PDZ,COD2 and RFOM simply reveal ps-3 to be
a more capible higher end console than 360.

I'm waiting to see reviews of such games as COD4 because i'm expecting game
informer's the edge to always favor ps-3 very soon.
