Pioneer S-3EXs - Blu-ray Forum

I've been quoted $5990 for a pair of brand new S-3EXs. Wondering if thats a decent price. Any ideas? Anywhere else where it might go for cheaper?

Came out in 07 the S-1EXs [not the S-3EXs] rival some top of the line B&W and Def Tech speakers from what I hear! Course that pair is like $9000. The S-3EXs arent as mighty as their big brother but I think it will do fine. Kinda blew me away when I heard em! The store that quoted me the price is now offering me their demo pair for $3500. Arent they just the sexiest looking speakers ever

Yes they are!!! What is the cabinet made of? They would look awesome next to your Kuro!

Cabinet's wood [prolly pulp] I think..its from Ikea. Ceramic graphite for the speaker if thats what you were asking. It would look nice by the Kuro wouldnt it...thing is I have no idea how to go about telling the wife.

I was supposed to give her my undivided attention this weekend, take her out and stuff...shez so gonna think it was because of these puppies. Sucks to be me right now

I know Worldwide Stereo had them in their showroom, I would call them and find ouy what they are going for.

Thanks Sammy...was it recent...when you saw em there? They have some sweet deals right now..might have to go for something else if the wife shoots the S-3EXs down. Which she prolly will seeing as I have spent almost 6Gs within the last year or so on entertainment.

Ok keep this in mind because most everyone on this forum is like this. When I first bought my 804N I told my wife I would just keep my CDM NT center. Well the next week I was already shopping for the matching center because of course it has to have the same timbre!

So when you buy those speakers plan to drop what ever it cost for the center too!
