No, if this gets a 3D blu-ray I'll buy it even if the film is awful. I just want to save some money. Up to now I have been pre-ordering straight away but it works out as better value waiting until just before release.

People want to buy, the thing is that Disney doesn't want to make money that way. :/
Promisingly, Disney have now realised that they can make money by releasing some of their D+ exclusives on disc. Whether this is because they actually want to is another story - the impression I get is that they'd LOVE to keep them exclusive but they've just lost so much money recently that they have no choice.

Hopefully this will one day extend to 3D blu-rays. Bang 'em out in overpriced SteelBook editions Disney, and I will buy them. Keep dumping them out flat and I'll spend my money elsewhere.

It's about time Disney learned that good business is giving customers what they want, not just what you want to give them.

You could binge-watch each show when the last episode releases... that way it takes you about the time that a MCU movie takes to be watched.

Just saying, would save you time and make you interested.

I have all the MCU movies, have watched them multiple times and look forward to new ones and I have never bothered with a single show. And yeah, like probably the majority of the people on this planet I have Disney+. It just doesn’t mean I want to add +500% watch time commitment to my MCU watching.

Doctor Strange 2 was basically fine to watch because you can follow that movie just fine with the context ‘Wanda has gone nuts’. Since then I haven’t even felt like I was lacking any context from the shows. But if that changes, it has a very real chance of killing off my interest in the MCU. Superhero fatigue is already a real concern for these studios, and increasing the investment people need to make to stay up to date with the story is only going to make that worse. It’s why Bob Iger admitted in July that they had diluted the audience attention by making too many Marvel shows. They know that they got greedy and made too much, because the viewing figures showed them that their regular movie audience mostly didn’t bother with the shows, especially once they were coming out every few months.
The problem was the pandemic that made them change tv shows dates and movies had to be delayed making some shows irrelevant while others had to be changed to not spoile future movie releases as they were linked before the pandemic.

that's a hot take. I've never read anyone say they loved the Eternals. It has zero connection to any other Marvel film and a movie where it's all gods has zero stakes (kinda the same problem with some of the Thor films). It was the lowest attended Marvel film, I believe. I can pretty much guarantee there will never be another one.

I liked Wandavision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Hawkeye. Just derailed when the Moon Knight was released as I know little of the character besides the Sailor Moon version (Sailor Moon here -Portugal- besides the anime style and funny moments, was dubbed by the people that did Dragon Ball and had extensive private jokes of portuguese day-to-day television and society happenings that gave to both shows the state of cult in the portuguese society). I was trying to follow the streaming show but with football/soccer, F1, 3D movies I bought and went to watch on road trips to the cinema and other errands it and the after MCU D+ shows got postponed by and until this time I still haven't get back on track with them.

I'll try to watch them after beach time as there will be more time spent at home.

I am the same, but I look at mini series' differently. So many good ones out there in the 3-10 hour range.

They're just like an extended movie or movie series and they typically don't grind the origins of the show into scattered pulp of twist after twist and cliffhanger after cliffhanger like many ongoing shows do.

I can't imagine having missed out on something like the Band of Brothers.

Amazon doesn’t charge until it ships…and you can cancel and reorder to lock in the lower shipping price and still not risk missing out in the event of a sellout….

Band of Brothers. WOW. What a series. That one ranks at the top of my all time favorites. I have it on Blu ray. Watched it several times.

I can't be bothered to do that. The standard editions never sell out before the release date and I seriously doubt that's going to change with this film, assuming it gets a 3D disc at all of course.

Still the best WWII project ever made imo. Can't wait for the new one coming later this year.

The 3D in this looks possibly promising for a 3D conversion. I was seeing medium to high medium+ 3D layers in the trailer I saw in theaters.

If the release date sticks for 2023, I'll check out Marvels 3D in theaters. The film looks mildly entertaining. They're going for a fun style adventure film from what I can tell by the trailer; nothing too serious it seems.

Ugh the showtimes are finally available here, but there's no IMAX 3D showings. I'm hoping it's an error and it'll get fixed. I sent them an email to find out.

Anyone out there have IMAX 3D showings for this?

Nearly every IMAX in the US has one IMAX 3D showtime a day. Only exception I’ve found is the Chinese, which is usual for them.
