pirates 1 framing issue - Blu-ray Forum

hey guys i was planning on buying the pirates box set but best buy are selling all 3 individually for $19.99.

i was wondering if they had shipped the new correctly framed version yet of the first pirates?

That problem was taken care of a while ago I believe, but I don't know if they issued a new UPC. They should all be the fixed copies, though.

Walmart has the set for $46 on line, have BestBuy match it for you and save some money. I did yesterday.

I'm a little bit worried about mine now

I purchased this movie on release date, but it's been so long since I last watched it I can't remember if it had frame issues.

I'll have to watch it again tonight.

I did the same, checked mine and -- yep -- the mis-framed shots are there. Disney is sending me a replacement copy though; they are still honoring the exchange program.

I've watched the 1st one a few times and unless im wrong or just dont know what im looking for, I can't seem to find any issue with it at all. Where is the framing problems suppose to take place in the movie?

Where Cap'n Jack and Will Turner fight in the blacksmithy. Lots of cut-off heads. The easiest to see is when the redcoats enter they have pretty obvious mis-framing.

As of December they still weren't--my boxset copy was misframed.
