Default Problem with Battlestar Galactica, the complete series

Is it just me, or did universal do a down right crappy job of identifying which disk has what content... I mean for frakkin' crying our loud... you spend this kind of coin, and then you have to go through a frakkin' scavenger hunt to find individual episodes for Gods sake!

Has anyone brought this up before? If not, or if no one is doing anything about it, I will go ahead a catalogue a listing of the Gods darned disks to list what is on each...

I have the Complete BSG and felt the same way until I realized that places like the BSG wiki, wikipedia and review sites have the FRAKIN episode list (in most cases for each Blu-ray).

I can understand your concern but it's not really a big deal for me. There are a lot of reviews out there that detail what is on which disc. I then just enter that data into DVDProfiler (software I use to catalog my BD's) and can then easily find what I need.

But I agree that some form of disc content overview should have been included.

I know what you mean. You spend all this money and no booklet with the episode list. Yes, you can find it on sites, print it and keep it somewhere, but why should you do it. This and other reasons is why I will not buy this non-complete BSG box set.

I am glad I bought it but I'm also hoping there will be some custom cover art with episode guides on the back. It would be perfect if we could fit 5 slim cases in the Cylon boxes (I haven't measured yet), if not I think dv8pdx's coverart would look amazing if I could find some 5/6 disc holders.

There's always the Digital Bits's review that you can crib the list from.

This isn't the only series that doesn't have an episode guide. Neither does Dollhouse, but that's a much smaller amount to have to go through, so that's not a big deal. I can understand the frustration, but it won't keep me from buying it eventually.

Never having watched a lick of BSG, I'm plowing through it at about 2 seasons a week. I might finish season 4 tomorrow, but I might be frakkin exhausted by then

The most irritating thing for me is watching the last episode on a disk, i.e. season 2, disc 2: "Pegasus", to find the first episode on the next disc is an extended version with more material than the original broadcast. :/

Seems to me like they could have spent more time on getting main content right than on the bells and whistles. ...But, I'm loving the picture quality! Which is exactly why I'm watching it on bluray and not DVDs, etc.

Thanks for pointing that out! I intend on getting this series.
I'll make sure to watch the extended versions first!

I, too, watched the TV cut and then saw that there was an extended cut available after that. But then I didn't want to watch it right then and there.

But my main complaint is that the Webisodes aren't included in the "complete" series. Or that they aren't going to be included in THE PLAN either. Sigh. Would be nice if they'll be available in Blu sometime in the near future.

the discs are not numbered and or no chapter/title list?

The discs are numbered (Season One - Disc One, and so on) but there is no booklet or list included that tells you "this disc contains episodes 'blah,' 'blah' and 'blah'." I personally didn't find it to be that big of a deal, but maybe that's because I've seen the series before. Personally, I'm just waiting for some 5-disc cases so I can replace the cardboard sleeves. Other than that, the set is amazing, and well worth the money. Plus, the Cylon figure looks awesome.

There are custom covers on AVS forum that has the episodes at the back of the cover. You could print those and use them but I understand completely your frustration OP. If we are dropping this amount of dough on a movie then the companies should have the courtesy to put a booklet in there with guides.
I miss the old DVD days.

odd, maybe. but its even more odd that we could all just find a page online that lists it all in LITERALLY less time, mouse clicks, and key entries than it took to make a post on a forum to complain about it.
