Default Recent Amazon.com shipping problems

Anyone had problems with Amazon.com shipments lately? I've had to return three items (two shipments total) to them for replacement in the last month because the items were received damaged. Specifically, they were blu-ray orders in which the cases were crushed. Just wondering.

Nope I placed three diffrent orders this month and got all of them with no problem.Except for batman begins that took 3 weeks but I already was advised it was going to take that long.

I haven't had any problems with the condition of the items shipped, but they sure have slowed thier shipping down....at least in my experience.

So far, so good. And I've ordered a ton of stuff this month. I've had 4 orders come in within 3 or 4 days.

Wouldn't that be more a problem with UPS though? I'm glad that they use a sufficient amount of bulle in one order because the box was half crushed that I got. BD's were fine though.

The last 2 boxes I've received from them, they have been in extremely bad shape, with tape coming off and crushed on one side. Luckily the movies were ok

You think that's bad? I still order from Amazon to this day, but one time, they sent me a damaged BD case.

The disc was intact, but the case was actually slashed in halves. I'm not joking. Of course, I sent it back for a replacement case.

It is the fault of the shipping company and Amazon. The shipping company is the ones smashing the packages, but Amazon is the one that isn't properly securing the items. They bubble envelopes they use now don't protect an item near as good as the boxes they used to use.

However, I've never had an item in poor condition, and I've probably received 400 items in the last 4 years, so it could be a careless shipping center or delivery person.

Pretty much everything I have received from amazon comes in a cardboard box. I have had a couple that have come in bubble envelopes, but mostly they are well protected. If something is damaged, it is probably the fault of the shipping company. Now, if you want to talk about their shipping being slow... I ordered and in stock movie two days ago and it is still just sitting there. I even had to pay for shipping. (I am not joining Amazon Prime again as it is really not worth it to me) Usually when I pay for shipping it ships the very next day after I order it at least. If it doesn't ship today I may have to contact them and see why.

I bet every time I order a single Blu-ray it comes in a envelope. I have Prime, which may be a factor, as all my orders come UPS.

It is undoubtedly the fault of the shipping company. If any of you have ever worked in the plant of a shipping company, you'd know how things are handled. "Fragile" stickers don't mean a thing. If it can be tossed, it will. Sometimes smaller packages end up at the bottom of a pile, while something big and heavy lands on them. It's all part of the process. If you receive something damaged, just send it back and hope for the best the next time around.

Not yet but it's gonna be inevitable with the stupid packaging they have started to use on my last 3 orders or so. Instead of using the boxes they used to use they have been shipping them in little bubble mailer.

I like the bubble mailers, I always use those when I ship my blu-rays in trade. The biggest "problem" I've had to date with Amazon was not shipping related. Well I don't like how long media mail takes but maybe I should just suck up and start paying for better shipping.

Both of my shipping problems were shipped through Amazon prime. The first order I received that was in bad shape include Benjamin Button and The Searchers. Both we crushed. The second was just the other day - and included Mad Men Season 2. My Mad Men discs came in a cardboard package, not a box, and not a bubble wrap. I don't recall what the others came in, but I've noticed that with Prime I'm receiving more cardboard packages than bubble wraps.
