I've always loved the idea of a 'darker' side of the MCU. When the netflix canon was wiped out, I really did feel like the MCU lost something. Now that side is slowly, but surely coming back and I'm all for it. Not that I want a dark and brutal MCU to be the de facto tone. Not at all. I just love it when the MCU has material that really feels different from one another.

Yeah, considering all the negative buzz surrounding this, the trailer looks surprisingly good. This may be the first Marvel thing I watch in some time.

Still can’t help feeling a little frustrated watching this trailer that they couldn’t figure out how to get the next Daredevil show done right (assuming this show lives up to the potential hinted at in the trailer).

Was a lot more impressed with the trailer than I thought I was going to be. I think it looks great. Glad that the upped violence will hopefully mean Marvel can get a little more creative with their shows. Doesn't even have to be full blood/gore, but not shying away from the violence I think will help immensely, especially for all those who feel things are getting too "kiddy" or "cheesy".

Though I do worry that this, and any other upped violence in the future, might lead to some discrepancies when going back to rewatch older shows/movies. Seeing her in this, especially since some scenes seem to take place before Hawkeye, might make her character feel different there for no reason other than "we hadn't thought of X idea yet". Not that I have, or plan on rewatching Hawkeye often, but still. Such is the danger of any prequel shows/scenes, I suppose.

Anyway, my interest level just went up considerably. I'll await it eagerly.

Yeah this looks good and gives me hope that Daredevil: Born Again will also be TV-MA. But I am still being cautiously optimistic here, the numerous delays and production issues this supposedly faced are hard to ignore.

Also fanboy nitpicking here: Hawkeye kept the Daredevil continuity of Kingpin's suits being all black before Vanessa, yet here it's another flashback and he's in a white suit? However, I do love the fat suit they put D'Onofrio in here. Though I was sad to see him not wearing one on the set of Born Again, hopefully that show being retooled means the fat suit will return. D'Onofrio slimmed down and good for him, but Kingpin needs mass.

I would say regardless of how the show actually turns out they definitely need to keep whoever cut that trailer as I have a feeling the trailer is going to get a lot of people to tune in who weren’t really planning to up until now.

Looks so damn good. Why is Disney making the new Daredevil series TV-14 instead of TV-MA is hard for me to make any sense. Daredevil, Echo, Punisher, Blade, and Ghost Rider should be TV-MA or R-rated.
