MGM (via Warner distribution) will be releasing the complete first season of Wednesday on Blu-ray early next year. The popular show, which stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, originally streamed on Netflix. I watched it last year, and really enjoyed it.

This is a nice surprise. I wasn't expecting this to get a physical release any time soon.

Wow awesome news this show was so good so glad its coming to Blu-Ray. Hopefully soon we will get the announcement from MGM/Warner.

Surprised by this but equally excited to be able to add Burton's first television project to the collection.

It might be because Stranger Things is owned by Netflix where this is owned by MGM but being produced for Netflix. Same deal as Cobra Kai which is owned by Sony and have had all five seasons so far released on DVD.I think the projects owned by other studios but are produced to air on Netflix have a better shot at physical releases. At least a faster shot at physical releases.

I might get this. We don't have access to Netflix anymore and my mom enjoyed the show.

It shouldn't strike me as a surprise that 4K produced stuff doesn't get released on 4K, but still.. it's kind of a pity. Better this than nothing, I guess.

It's possible we could see a 4K show up as a MOD release.

I will pick this up. I am too lazy to look up who owns the Sabrina show but I would buy a complete series of it on disc, too.

For some reason, I assumed this was owned by Netflix outright. Glad I was wrong.

Maybe one day Warner will finally release Sabrina.

It sucks no 4K release but I guess Blu-ray is better than nothing.

It's a safe bet that in the US a release will be coming from MGM or one of the many boutique labels that have deals with MGM.

The Duffer Brothers said they are "working on that" ... but IMO, Netflix is waiting to put out the Complete Series / Collector's Edition and will charge plenty for it.
