Movie from when younger? - cant think of the name

Hey guys,

This is going to be pretty vague but im trying to remember the name of this movie i used to watch when i was a kid, probably watched it around mid 80's to late 80's (i think). Its about a UFO landing in this town and then weird things start happening, people acting different... The kid and his friend(s) know its the aliens but cant prove it and their parents dont believe them. All else i remember is that they eventually find their way, i think by a tunnel, into the space ship. Thats all the memory i have on this. Any ideas?? sorry for the vagueness of this but it just popped in my head and is driving me nuts. haha

Yes you are right! Space Invaders was in 1990 so wrong time frame

Yup, your right! its Invader's From Mars. I remembered just by seeing the old VHS cover. Wow, im going to have to rent this, thanks again!

LOL, ill have to check that out when i get home. I was going to rent this off Netflix but come to find that they dont have this one for rental! its gonna be a tough search, could be a while till i see this one again...

I don't know if you're interested or not, but Netflix does have the original 1953 version available. The one you saw in the 80s was a remake.
