Were any of the Shrek Shorts ever released in 3D?

I got this set (used) about a year ago but only tried to watch last night. The first two discs refused to load on my main deck, and though I got #1 to play past the menus on my region free player it hard crashed during the Smash Mouth montage. I then "scanned" all four discs on my PC (with two different drives yielding identical results): the first failed at about 500mb in, the second at 1400, third and fourth in the 6000mb range.

A few bronzed coasters I have encountered, but I've never experienced a complete set failure before. Discs do have some slight scratches but nothing is peeling, so unless the previous owner housed them in dubious conditions I assume this is down to replication... technicolor? I would rebuy, but I have to think the odds of this reoccurring are high since we are talking 2010. I wish there were a way to replace, never got to experience these in 3D!

Did the "scan" complete for each disc or fail. If it completed then your issue isn't the physical disc, but the actual movies themselves. I've only ever seen Shrek Forever After 3D and I think it's similar to the first Wreck it Ralph and Incredibles 2 movies. All of them are mild to medium 3D and I don't remember any strong 3D moments.

The films were released individually as well as in a set so you can always try different versions. My Twin Peaks discs started clouding very quickly, I blame the card packaging for that but it does sometimes happen. Is it the Samsung set you are referring to?

Failed completely, which is why I tried with two different drives. Never had anything like that happen before.

On that set at the time of purchase one of my discs was stuck in the glue, rehoused it quickly without damage, but it caused me to check my Universal Monsters set, and Dracula lost a chunk of the layer due to adhesion. To this day the beginning of Spanish Dracula is... gone! (Luckily the 4K set had the same HD disc, so no longer a problem for me)

Yep, Samsung.
That’s odd, I have the Samsung set and no issues.
