It seems to me like the industry is trying to sweetin the pot and getting more people to buy into the 3d market which is ok. Now my question is, what about those that already did

Making these movies exclusive is going to ruin the market for us. I took the plunge and bought a 3d kit for my mitsubishi and Im starting to see that the big movies are going to be tough to get or Im gonna have to shell out over $100 (which I refuse to do) to add it to my collection.

I totally agree. This exclusives 3D Blu-ray movie discs "war" will slow down the 3DHDTV market expansion.
That is non sense : let the people buy the 3DHDTV they want.
The more 3DHDTV will be sold the more 3D Blu-ray discs will be sold.
I won't buy a 3D HDTV because it is sold with one movie I love.
I will buy the best 3D HD TV I can have then I'll buy 3D blu-ray discs I want.

does anybody know how long the shrek collection 3D is going to be exclusive to Samsung?

If its going to be atleast 1 year. Then I may just go out and buy the starter kit when it gets released. But if its going to be 3months. Then I can wait.

BTW: I hate exclusives. I just wanted to add that. So people dont think I am for any kind of bundle exclusives when it comes to 3D movies.

how much is this to buy with the glasses? the set is out in the uk (2d) in december.. but i'd rather buy the 3d version and save upgrading in the future..

That crept up fast, Very nice but not shelling out £50 for it,

IMO the first two were great, 3rd was ok and not seen the 4th (i know it is not in this pack)

Any vendor can instruct Amazon not to ship their product internationally, something that Samsung almost certainly did

It's also possible someone checked these in wrong and assigned them for sale. No other UK sites are listing this, so I'd get it while you still can. Everyone's gone for the weekend so I can't investigate further

I would quickly buy it as I'm sure this is a mistake! Why would it be for promotional use only, say Samsung in the title but your able to buy it without any fuss? I reckon this was meant to be sold with TV's.

Thrilled there's a redemption form for the newest Shrek in there too!

Wish Panasonic did this....

Watched the 1st Shrek this morning and the presentation was excellent. Played on both my UK and US 3D BD Players so no problems there. The Audio on the Discs is Dolby TRUEHD.
