What Films, whether on DVD, VHS, LD, Blu-ray, etc, have you sat down to watch, and watched a second time immediately after?? EDIT: THIS MEANS THE SAME DAY/NIGHT

Details too.... Did you watch it once, then re-watch it with a commentary?

Did you watch it with one person, then with a different person who wanted to see it immediately after?

Watched it alone, then had someone else watch it with you?

ANYONE?

I have done this a "few" times. Mostly with Commentaries.

The first time I watched Equilibrium I restarted it as soon as it was over.

Why? Because I absolutely LOVED it the first time around

I watched it alone both times, I don't know many people who would be interested in it

I may have done it before once or twice with watching the film then re-watching with the commentary track on but I can't recall specific movies for certain.

Films I have re watched on any format

All six Star Wars
Starship Troopers
Rambo
All Pixar (kids love to watch and watch and watch and I have to sit through them)
Sin City
and loads more;

Mostly for commentary, but sometimes a film is so awesome it has to be seen twice just to take it in.

I would say I have done this many many times since DVD came along. Would sat down watch the movie and then just re-start the movie with commentaries. Not for all the movies I own but for many of them.

I don't think I ever watched a movie immediately after the 1st time. Usually I would watch it again after a week.

I watched "Apocalypse Now" three nights in a row the first time I saw it. I was just blown away and was getting new insights or ideas from each viewing.

The Matrix

I was in high school, I watched it alone the first time. When it got to the part where Neo could see in code and Morpheus says "He is the one" I was jumping on my bed screaming "YOU ARE THE ONE, NEO!! YOU ARE THE ONE!!" My mom came in, wondering what the heck was going on.

I immediately re-watched it. It was the latest I ever stayed up watching a movie on a school night.

every Kubrick movie (2001, Eyes Wide Shut, Full Metal Jacket, CLockwork, The Shining, Dr. Stragelove)

i've watched several times, and with the commentary. probably best replay value in my collection, hands down.

even spielberg said (In the Shining special feature) that you have to watch Kubrick movies more than once, they grow on you. he confessed to watching Shining 25 times.

Recently, I can think of two:

Casino Royale
Quantom of Solace

Neither were with commentary; just wanted to see/hear them both again.

Transformers.

When it first came out on HD-DVD I picked it up and watched it for almost a week straight. One right after another. I just couldn't get over that movie. I know it's not the greatest but there was something about it that made me want to watch it over and over again.

It was also the movie that made me go HD. I had the TV and everything, but I was still only watching DVDs. It was my first HD-DVD (also my only HD-DVD) or Blu-ray purchase so I might have just been blown away by the whole thing.

There's this movie I have on dvd, Life is Beautifull. I watched it the first time with my friends who all speak french. When the credits were rolling some of our wives wanted to know why everybody had tears in our eyes so we restarted the movie but this time in english without the subtitles. The guys were sad from the beginning of it and by the end our wives were crying. Very good movie.

I'm middle of the road when it comes to audio commentaries, some are very informative and entertaining(usually scene specific ones and group ones) but some are just absolute "snoozers"! Anybody agree with me on that one?

Yeah, I've seen The Shining, Clockwork, Dr. Strangelove, and 2001 at LEAST 15 times each.....

But have you watched any one of those twice in one day????

PULP FICTION is one for me that I watched three times in one day...... was a big fan of this movie when it came out...... I just kept trying to find flaws.... odd way to deconstruct a movie, I know!

Pulp Fiction was one of TWO VHS tapes I owned..... I put a VCR/TV in my room for this movie alone, and I actually had the bad habit of watching it to help me fall asleep, so I played my copy of Pulp Fiction every night (when I was home I guess) when I went to bed for about a year or so.

You could say I know the movie pretty well

EDIT:

I haven't seen it in a few months now

Ha. okay here is a different one. I remember renting Street Fighter as a kid and it never left the vcr. I watched it over and over for the 5 day rental period. Being a fan of the snes game and being a youngster this movie had loads of replay value.
