Mmmm Twister... Is this the second special edition for DVD then? I am super looking foward to this on Blu-Ray. Did anyone else notice that the sound on the first DVD sets seemed to be from an analog source or something? The score almost sounded like it was recorded on a cassette. I am not 100% sure how these things work, but it sounded funky to me and the score on CD didn't have any of the errors that it had in the film.

Not a fan of the movie, but I was hoping this, along with the other two movies announced at the same time would hit before Xmas. If this is a sign of the other two, then I guess I'll have to wait till after the new year for my Shawshank. Eh, its not that long, so i dont mind. I'm just happy we're getting them at all

The thing I find funny about Shawshank is that it's in all these HD-DVD advertisement flyers that came with HD-DVD. It says "Coming Summer 2006"... Yeah it's fall 2007 and we still don't have it even announced.

The DTS edition of Twister has great sound.

I'll pick this one up in high def for sure, especially if it has TrueHD or PCM.

It did! But it was from the same master as the Dolby Digital soundtrack. Not sure if they were both created from an analog source or not. One of the most noticable points in the movie where I thought it sounded like a cassette tape was the opening Wheatfield part (I believe that's the name of the cue from the score).

Yeah I noticed the audio you were talking about too. ^^ I hope they have a better one for the BD which I will definetly be getting. Can you just imagine the sound effects in DTS-True Hd lossless audio?

Good find Zaphod! And i was just on their site yesterday to pick up some catalog titles for the Sept 18. I'm certain I checked for this and it was not there. I see it now.

Your right, it wasn't on the site yesterday, because I picked up the Harry Potter set and looked through all their titles and Twister was not on there yet...I hope I can call WB and just add it to my existing order!
