Default SAW V Coming to Blu-ray January 20th

For anyone that's interested, Saw V will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on January 20th according to VideoETA.

I won't be picking it up, but I know people who like these movies.

I will probably give it a rental. Saw IV was a disappointment.

Absolutely loved the first three movies.

Found part 4 very derivative and part 5 utterly pointless.

Whereas with Saw 4 you could excuse the film's problems since you had the best quality picture for a Saw blu-ray up to that point, no increase in the quality of picture or sound could make up for all of the problems with Saw 5. Most of the movie is just flashbacks and the so-called twist ending is easy to figure out and lacks any originality.

That's because there was no real twist ending for Saw V.

They went away from the twist aspect to do something different.

I really enjoyed Saw V. It continued to answer more questions and deepen the character of Jigsaw.

Gotta admire any film series, especially in the Horror Genre that is so rich and detailed.

LOL. You consider SAW as being a Horror genre?

(I spit on you)

Saw IV was dissapointing, but the extras on these movies are always fun.

Saw I and II were good. III blew ass, but I felt IV redeemed it in a way.

I'll probably rent V once its out.

Considering it is horror.... yes.

You realize horror is more than just monster movies, right?

I thought Saw V was about the relationship between Jigsaw and his apprentice. Where the girl was more like a daughter to him, a very flawed slightly crazy daughter, the guy was not emotionally connected to him. They should have worked that angle and showed how it made the guy into a different kind of killer.

Oh and the "games" this time were dull and annoying.

Didn't care for V either, but I'll pick it up eventually like I will with IV.

Get ready for the term no self respecting horror fan would use. I can't even bring myself to say it.

As for this on blu, I'm holding off till after next year for a box set of all 6.
