Help finding a good and cheap universal remote - Blu-ray Forum

Is there any good cheap universal remote that works with Blu-Ray, and doesn't cost over $50 bucks, I'm going to get a Logitech but right now I just need a cheap quick solution remote.

Save your money and wait to get the Logitech. I have two H659s and they work very well (they cost about $75.00 each when I got them on Amazon 1 and 2 years ago).

Just a suggestion, but I would spend 50 bucks on a cheap remote(that you probably won't like) and then buy the nice one later. I would wait. For now just use multiple remotes that came with the equipment until you are ready to get something nice like a Harmony. Just my 2 cents.

Here is what I have for reference:

Olevia LCD 437
Sony Blu Ray BDP-S350
Sony 5 DVD Changer
Pioneer A/V Receiver VX-819H
DVD player
Comcast HD DVR

Checked at Harmony's websit anthey all should work fine with any of the remotes.

Is Tigerdirect.com a good site?

You're choosing the brand I was going to suggest, but I don't know about getting a refurbished one though.

One For All URC-8820 - $19 NEW.

Read the reviews...they're very high wherever you look.

I own this and love it. It's fully programmable, so you can set it up any way you want. It controls every piece of equipment in my signature, and well.

It's no Harmony...and with the $80-$180+ I didn't spend, I'm perfectly fine with that.

I always see Logitech remotes in reconditioned for as low as $20 on ebay or your local craiglists ads. Youll be surprised.
