You also have to think about how they're not gonna kill of a main character of a multi million dollar franchise

They mean the animated movie.

I agree with Prime and Mufasa.

Those two were sad as hell.

The other ones I don't, there are better ones out there
I never really thought Bambi's mom's death was all that sad.
If we're sticking with animation, then Little Foot's mother in The Land Before Time was much sadder.

I remeber crying hard when King Kong died in King Kong(albeit the crappy version with Jeff Bridges). And seriously how the heck did Old Yeller, Where the Red Fern Grows and the Yearling not make this list. Those are the three saddest movies all kids watch in my opinion.

Shoot....I'm watching the Mufasa video...now I'm sad.

It's a good thing the rest of the movie made up for that part's sadness.

I took 3 different girls to see Armageddon and all of them balled their eyes out when Bruce Willis ate it.

Transformers Animated makes me laugh, they gather every chid possible they could into a theater to see there childhood favs on the bigscreen and they murder just about every last one to make way for a new fleet of toys. Talk about some sad kids walking out, including me.

‘My Girl’ - Macaulay Culkin’s character dies after stepping on a beehive

As a kid, two things baffled me about this movie:

1. How is it that the ingenious kid from ‘Home Alone’ could be killed by bee stings yet survive a run-in with Joe Pesci?
2. If he suffered from a known allergy that meant that a bee sting wouldl kill him, then why the hell was he antagonizing a bunch of bees? That’s like a man whose known allergy is getting viciously crushed by a former world heavyweight boxing champion walking up to Mike Tyson, calling him a “limp wristed fairy”, and spitting in his face.
Nice.

Optimus was the biggest tear jerker ever. It still makes me wimper if I watch it.

So good! The best transformers movie of all time FOR SURE.
