Default Official Subwoofer Scenes Thread - Movie Scenes with that LFE you Love

I'm not just talking about boom and crash. I'm talking about scenes with detail and distinction - or maybe those with a non-stop barrage of double-digit Hertz-age that leaves your driver crying for help. And don't just include your Blu-rays, for DVDs have incredible definition down there as well.

Let's make a list of tones for everyone to know! My personal favorites:

Blu-rays:

-28 Weeks Later:
Bombing of London during Code Red

-Cloverfield:
No specific scene, but when its raining debris and you can feel each footstep of the monster

-Kung fu Panda:
Fight between Po and Tai-lung

-Master & Commander:
Opening Battle, and turning Cape Horn

-Transformers:
Ironhide Sweep

DVDs:

-SW Ep. I: Phantom Menace
Podracing

-War of the Worlds
The Storm/Tripod (might just be the best DVD sound I've heard as far as surround use/LFE/detail/definition all in one)

These are the scenes that make your subwoofer chuff, rattle, reverberate - (notice I said yours, not mine, ) - let's keep em coming!

At the end of the original post in A Guide to Subwoofers I have included a couple of links for movies with good bass sound and links to a few tones to test subwoofers. It is worthwhile to check a few of those.

It's not a movie, but Nine Inch Nails "Closer" has killer bass in it, especially if you have the DVD-A with 5.1 surround. WOW!!! It's the DualDisc version.

You do! It is a really good movie as well. I was pleasantly surprised on this blind buy.

Oh, and I agree on your mentioned scenes. I just didn't want to repost. Master and Commander is phenomenal and the Ironhide sweep is well....the Ironhide sweep.

Also!

Rambo IV - Do I need to mention which scene?

There does not seem to be any deep bass in Twister though. It is a good movie to see if your subs sound muddy or not though.

JJ needs to get married. He won't be doing any slacking after that. The wife will nag him to death.

The Avalanche Scene in The Mummy-Tomb of the Dragon Emperor gets pretty low on the LFE.

And also a newly discovered "Bass Scene" on SpiderMan 3, when the SandMan first gets mutated in that Sand Chamber...pretty good bass!
