Pre-cut your underwear, or just don't wear any!

You must not like to read. Perks of Being a Wallflower is a great book. It's about a HS Freshman and his first year going through the motions of trying to fit in.

I never witnessed any freshmen being treated particularly bad at my high school. I think a lot of people are scared of high school for no reason. I would like to think upperclassmen have better things to do than pick on freshmen. My only advice is don't mouth off to upperclassmen and they should leave you alone. Just because movies like Dazed and Confused feature high school hazing doesn't mean it's realistic.

Yeah, that's pretty accurate all around. There's definitely hazing, especially in athletics, but the severity of it is over-dramatized in movies and press for the most part.

Don't brag about how many upper classmen you know or try to act cool.

Because they both make you look like a fool.

Oh....my bad. I'll try to see if I can find it at my local library.

And, yes I love reading.

Grats to xtop on finding a job. I'm with DetroitSportsFan... anytime I hear about hiring in the US right now, it's a good feeling.

I actually just hired a new employee at my company thanks to an increase in sales on one of our services, and the look on her face when I told her she was hired was gratifying. It feels good to NOT participate in the recession.

You never said what the job was.

I'm still looking for a permanent job. I got laid off when Circuit City closed down and I've been going from job to job for the past 5 months.
