I only saw it yesterday on the PS Channel, and saw it was a free demo, but not sure.

It looks sort of interesting. I'm noticing a lot of Ethereal themed games, with somber, sweeping ambient music and themes of the soul, spirit or peaceful Nature themes and more often than not, puzzle based. Interesting, though not the most exciting games to play IMO. It's like its own genre now.

I'd call it the "Artistic Expression" Genre of gaming.

Years ago on PS4, I played one of them that has you as a diver, swimming underwater through basic but artistic levels. You finally reach the end and it's nothing amazing or anything, as your goal is to overpower the red algae poisoning the ocean. I played it once and that was it. It was okay. Nice visuals as most of the games have.

Project Tower - Demo Trailer | PS5 Games - YouTube

Project Tower is a 1 player game where you have to survive against worms and Alien Xenomorph-like enemies, but can also transform into them as needed. A free demo on PS5 at the moment.

I guess this is going to eventually be a full game. It has potential, nice controls.

There is a new game, Supermarket Mall Simulator, arriving soon

[Show spoiler]according to the PS Store. But it offers no gameplay footage, no idea how the gameplay works, and zero information on the game other than on that store page. Not good marketing IMO, and one of those "Wait for a review before wasting money" kind of situations because of it. I need to see a lot more, but being able to walk through a mall that you create sounds fun. I don't know why it would be called a "supermarket" though. That's usually reserved for Grocery stores.

Malls in the real world are fading away, so a game like this would be welcome before malls go extinct eventually. Then there probably won't be any mall themed locations in games.

This game I mentioned above, Supermarket Mall Simulator? Completely disappeared from the Playstation Store as if it was canceled with no warning. I was looking forward to a mall simulator game where you can create your own mall and walk through it. At least there's Dead Rising 1 remake in September 2024 for mall exploring.

A neat idea but I'm thinking Dead Rising Remake in 2024 will have the best malls to explore in a video game. If for some reason the game is good though, I'll wait for the reviews and then support it for a novel concept, with how malls are fading away these days. They are really unique buildings to walk through. Buying stuff on the other hand, a rare event for me in a mall. I rather find better prices elsewhere.

I wonder if this Supermarket Mall Simulator will follow through on all of the gameplay with building your own mall, stores, keeping the tenants happy, customers and having events at the mall. Or if it's very bare and not much to it other than some of these low budget $1 games on PS Store.

I can't believe the amount of questionable games with almost zero effort are on the PS store clogging everything up on there. If I see one more Pet the Animal game or Jumping Food timing game...... Sony has zero quality requirements it seems to be on their store...

Gori: Cuddly Carnage free PS5 (and PS4) Demo is free to play on PS5 through the PS5 store. Took me 35 minutes, taking my time, to get through the extensive linear action game demo, but it was memorable and mostly fun.

You play as a cat on a skateboard, slicing apart enemies along the way, while grinding skate rails and jumping, running through a neon city. Pretty unique and original IMO.

I read about this on the PS store, but this is the first glimpse of gameplay I've seen so far. It looks like an interesting 3rd person futuristic action game. I'm no longer impressed by fancy CGI cutscene trailers, and look solely to the gameplay for a better impression of what the game offers, which this trailer wisely seems to show in the 2nd half of Neo Berlin. It has some potential.

Yes, it's a fun game. You can stand still on the board, move slowly or go really fast if you want, which is really nice for a skating game, to be able to stop easily.

Gori the Cat is a fun demo worth playing IMO.

Yes, he's shown in the game briefly in a cutscene.
The game demo is really good, worth checking out. Heavily inspired by Astro-Bot IMO but with fun original ideas too, like the mirrors and trying to navigate your character by watching the mirror reflection. Cool. Astrobot being an amazing video game series.

Blades of Fire free PS store demo above?

Probably some of the best graphics I've seen in awhile on PS5 and looks impressive IMO for the art style, graphics, and runs at 60 fps. Fun sword game and merciful game difficulty mode just to test it out. I wasn't expecting that.

This is what is great about game development in 2025. Indie and smaller studios can create games that are just as fun to play with impressive graphics as oversized AAA developers.

I've only played the free Astro's Playroom game, waiting for Astro Bot to go on sale for $20 New before I buy it.

I still have not found a new job yet, and I'm also trying to focus on the hundreds of unplayed games in my massive backlog.
