Gori: Cuddly Carnage free PS5 (and PS4) Demo is free to play on PS5 through the PS5 store. Took me 35 minutes, taking my time, to get through the extensive linear action game demo, but it was memorable and mostly fun.

You play as a cat on a skateboard, slicing apart enemies along the way, while grinding skate rails and jumping, running through a neon city. Pretty unique and original IMO.

Neo Berlin

I read about this on the PS store, but this is the first glimpse of gameplay I've seen so far. It looks like an interesting 3rd person futuristic action game. I'm no longer impressed by fancy CGI cutscene trailers, and look solely to the gameplay for a better impression of what the game offers, which this trailer wisely seems to show in the 2nd half of Neo Berlin. It has some potential.

Yes, it's a fun game. You can stand still on the board, move slowly or go really fast if you want, which is really nice for a skating game, to be able to stop easily.

Gori the Cat is a fun demo worth playing IMO.

Smurfs Dreams, which plays a lot like Astro Bot but with an isometric view point rather than closer like in the great Astrobot games. This is fun though and an extensive/long demo.

Blades of Fire free PS store demo above?

Probably some of the best graphics I've seen in awhile on PS5 and looks impressive IMO for the art style, graphics, and runs at 60 fps. Fun sword game and merciful game difficulty mode just to test it out. I wasn't expecting that.

This is what is great about game development in 2025. Indie and smaller studios can create games that are just as fun to play with impressive graphics as oversized AAA developers.

A really good game, Smurfs Dreams is. If you've played Astrobot, it has some similar game play mechanics. Fun game demo. I'm waiting for the full game to go on a nice sale and I'll buy it.

I've only played the free Astro's Playroom game, waiting for Astro Bot to go on sale for $20 New before I buy it.

I still have not found a new job yet, and I'm also trying to focus on the hundreds of unplayed games in my massive backlog.
