That's my biggest issue here.

That wasn’t what the poster was saying. They were responding to another about why they don’t like preauth charges in general. They weren’t talking about charging someone when their order shows it was canceled (and not in the cancellation requested stage). That is definitely something concerning and probably why it’s pretty nigh impossible to cancel an in during the preorder phase (in my experience).

I was a Day 1 pre-order and like everybody else here, no movement on it whatsoever. I found one WM near(ish) me that has one copy in stock today for curbside pick-up according to the website, so I went ahead and ordered. Already got a confirmation that it's ready for pick-up, which I won't actually be able to do till tomorrow. Once I have it in hand, I will cancel my online pre-order.

4K steelbooks are not WM's "bread and butter." I wish there was a different brick and mortar store that was more "movie collector friendly" that stocked such things.

I placed an order earlier today which said it would be delivered tomorrow. But I just got a cancellation notice saying that the item is out of stock and can't be delivered.

And still no movement on my original order -- still says arriving by July 1, 2025. I don't have time to run around to 10 different Walmart stores trying to find this. So I might have to go with eBay if there's no movement in the next few days.

Oh that is different, i thought you were talking about pre auth's, not pre auth's after cancellations. Did you cancel it or did you ask them to cancel it and they are attempting to cancel it but the pre auth still triggered?

I do know cancelling orders is way more of a hope and pray scenario that is should be with a lot of well known companies.

It was a previous title I cancelled. The Thanksgiving steelbook..camcelled it the week before release. They canceled it and it showed cancelled in my purchase history. Then they still did a preauth a few days later like they normally do for an item they are about to ship out.

I just did a new order for in store pickup for tomorrow. I had a $5 promo.code so it knocked it down to $30. Hope this order sticks and doesn't get cancelled. I'll then cancel my online ship order after I pick this up.

If someone can get there hands on a damage free copy and is willing to mail it to me please PM me. I would really appreciate it. The closest store to me is an hour and half away and there is no way I can make it there to grab one. My preorder is completly screwed up and I just talked with an online agent and they told me it is stuck and likely will not ship. I ordered it back in July and it still says a Release date Sep 01, 2025

Contacted Supprt and they told me my order should be ready by 3 pm and they may be having technical difficulties on why I can't see the updates on my end. And they gave me $10 off a future order code as an apology.

I can't be mad at that. Will check back at 3 pm.

I think Walmart.com is having issues. My purchase history page says "no orders" which is obviously not accurate.

Yeah,Walmart.com is acting very glitchy right now.

It's also a good sign though if pre-orders are starting to have labels created.

No new label has been created for me at FedEx, just the currently shipping/in transit one for Deadpool & Wolverine steelbook. Right now at Walmar.com,my pre-order still says Arrives by Tue, Jul 01 but if you click on View Details, I get the glitch Sorry...We’re having technical issues, but we’ll be back in a flash. page.

Still no movement on my pre-order. Still says processing and also still says it's out of stock. So no chance for a reorder unfortunately. I plan to just let my pre-order ride it out and will see how this all plays out but if the agent I spoke to yesterday has any merit things don't look good at this point.

If Walmart would just update there listing's once there is a definite street date none of this would be happening to any of us in the first place. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me now but my other 2 pre-orders I was able to place another order because they weren't out of stock. Current pre-order still says Release date Sept. 1st 2025

Yes, I stopped at the store after work and the vendor was in the process of stocking the movies as I got there. So I was able to choose my copy out of the 5 copies they got.

I've placed three orders this morning for pickup at nearby stores, but all have been cancelled within 10 minutes because "the item is out of stock." Ugh.
