Unless better elements can be found, doubtful. The print that was used for this Blu-ray was in pretty rough shape.

One of my favorite Code Red releases though.

This is one that painfully needs a new transfer, so hopefully it happens from somebody.

I think chances are pretty good. We have started to see former Code Red/ Scorpion titles being re-released by others, and no doubt the labels are aware that this is one title there is some interest in.

Now, whether anyone is able to dig out better elements is another question. I wouldn't bet on it, but still a new transfer would probably still make a difference.

I’ve just popped this in for a first time watch. The code red Blu Ray hasn’t got a menu film just starts?? - have I bought a bootleg! . It looks legit on the disc not like burned copies I’ve seen before.

Not a bootleg, that's the way it is!

Was it a bootleg? Same as Terminal Island.

...Vinegar Syndrome is proud to bring TERMINAL ISLAND to UHD and Blu-ray, in its first ever authorized disc release, newly restored in 4K from its 35mm original camera negative.

Still no. That’s VS hype. Code Red was a legitimate label.

I love this sloppy, unpolished low-budget mess. It's engaging and rewatchable in ways that many bigger-budget productions often fail at. It's difficult to quantify its appeal precisely, but it's undeniable. I'd love for someone to locate better elements, or in the absence of that, even try a new 4k scan and resto of the best remaining elements that were used for the HD scan on the last blu ray effort.

Regardless of what the future holds for this title, I'm very glad for my two copies of the old Code Red blu ray. I really do enjoy my Code Red blu ray collection of oddities and eccentricities. So many great releases of obscure titles from Code Red that I regularly revisit. i recently showed Redeemer, Ghostkeeper, The Being, and Screams of a Winter Night to a small group of friends, none of whom had ever seen any of these titles before. Most of them enjoyed themselves enough that they immediately bought their own copies of the blu rays afterward, despite the high OOP prices in some cases.

Some of these old films looked pretty solid on the old Code Red blu rays, and the underlying elements are still in pretty good shape. Among those, I'd love to see some decent boutique like VS pick up Ironmaster and Cut and Run, and roll them out in uhd.

David Gregory of Severin said another boutique label has the rights and film elements for this. I reckon Vinegar Syndrome will drop a 4K of this in the future mate.

Could well be April's UHD debut of 'an early supernatural slasher'. Not sure how many other titles fit, given the mention of 'early'.

Huh. Maybe I better sell mine quick before it craters in value. I've been missing those opportunities a lot, most recently with The Fall!
