Looks like the free DLC will be on 11-30-21.

We are getting a updated tougher/more balanced version of the game.
We are getting more modes like one where you start with all the monster cards and
another one where you can equip all 50 cards.
Also something for map markers.

This game has nicely drawn sprite type graphics. How do you like the gameplay? It looks like a fun game and it's good to see it for PS4. I'll consider it when it's on sale as I'm still working through many games yet to be completed.

I really enjoyed the game play but I do wish we could get a Shantae game that is a "metroidvania" with a leveling system, equipment(accessories), more abilities, skills, spells, etc.

Can't wait to play with the new DLC. I wonder if we will get any more DLC for this game.

I'm looking forward to all 5 of the Shantae games coming to PS5. They have 2 of them out now, but have no idea when the other 3 will come out except for sometime next year.

I still haven't played the first 3 games, of those, the third one is the one I want to play the most but that is the only one not on PS4.

I like most of the changes so far with the updates though I am not a fan of how much weaker the food items are.

I really love the option to be able to equip every monster card.

Sorry to hear the food items are less effective.

About how long does it take to complete this game if you have completed it? Any favorite stages/levels?

How long depends on how you like to play. I like to find and collect everything so it can take awhile. Though the update makes it a lot easier to find things now. For example caves now show up on the map and if you have collected it's treasure there is a x on the cave symbol.

Favorite stage/level...well there are dungeons and I like all of them except for the one where you are timed.

Yes, timed levels are not very fun, especially if there is a maze you have to get through, like in Zillion on the Sega Master System as one of my earlier experiences as a kid with timed levels to escape the giant underground maze. Thankfully that was the final boss defeat and escape.
