Default Star Trek - Individual Releases?

I was on BestBuy.com getting ready to pre-order Texas Chainsaw Massacre ($.89 after $10 gift card) and I noticed the following Star Trek films listed as individual releases for 09/22/09. Does anyone know if this is accurate or if this is another error made by Best Buy.

Star Trek: First Contact
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

I wonder if these will be the the same versions that were released in the box set or the directors cut.

Thoughts, comments.

Everything that I have seen online shows that most of, if not all, the Star Trek movies will be released individually on September 22 along with the second season of the original series.

It looks like these will be the same discs/transfers as the ones in the box sets released earlier this year.

Oh, and my guess is that the "Director's Cut" versions won't be released until the next new Star Trek movie premieres (probably 2011). Again, that's just a guess.

There's a lot of Star Trek and Trek-related releases coming in the next couple of months, all of which was revealed back at Comic Con.
Here's the list:

September 22
- TNG Movie Boxset BD and DVD
- TOS Season 2 BD
- Star Trek II, IV, VI and First Contact individual BD and DVD
- TOS Movie Boxset DVD

November 17
- Star Trek '09 BD and DVD
- Galaxy Quest BD
Not Confirmed, but likely: TOS Season 3 BD and the remaining films individually on BD and DVD.

I believe the release date is fairly accurate, unless they change it again.

That's good news... I don't want the complete set, just one or two of them.

Looks like The Motion Picture is not being released. I might have bought this one.

I was searching around b/c I thought it was strange how they decided to release just the 4 as individual releases (as of so far anyway). Interestingly, I discovered that if you go to IMDB, the 4 they are releasing individually on Sept 22 are the only four with a higher than 7/10 rating. All the other movies get a rating in the 6 range (other than the pathetic Final Frontier that gets a 4.9). Wonder if this factor in when deciding to do these as individual releases?

Absolutely. The joke about "The curse of the odd numbered Star Treks" is at least ten years old.

After directing Star Trek VIII, Frakes was asked if he'd be interested in directing the next film. He replied, "Only if they call it Star Trek X".

Of course, Nemesis bucked the trend.
