Anyone remember this movie? It's the one w/ Robin Williams playing a former high school football wide receiver who has spent 20 years trying to live down dropping the winning pass in the big game...Kurt Russell is also in it...one of my all time favorite movies...I'd love to see this get the Blu-ray treatment.

I love this film too, but don't feel it will transfer that much better to Blu Ray. It is one of Robin Williams best, along with The World According to Garp!

I think for me, this is one of those few movies that I'd get on Blu regardless of how the transfer turns out!

ooo I thought this was a thread about my best moments of blu-ray..

One of them has to be watching the IMAX intro scene of The Dark Knight over and over again on my Batman Begins blu-ray before TDK was in theaters

Crap you got my hopes up (I though that it was coming soon to Blu by the wording in the title of this thread), I love the movie & was just thinking the other day that it would be cool if it was on Blu.

People like it if you put a "?" after a movie if the movie isn't actually coming out.

I've never heard of this movie. If it has Robin Williams and Kurt Russel it must be good.

Just watched the old dvd last night and it's still a fun little film. Like a lot of other 80s formula comedies, it's thin on plot, predictable, and many of the running gags are overused. Wouldn't consider it 'hilarious,' though it has some funny moments. It's one of those simple stories that is easy to relate to and we've all probably had a moment in life we'd love to go back and overcome. This one really could use an upgrade - the dvd is non-anamorphic and from a very old master.

BTW, this thread obviously needs to be moved to the wish list section.
