Yet another overlooked film I'd almost given up seeing on UHD. This one is a stunner with truly great acting.

Exactly, totally blind-sided by this. I never saw it coming, and certainly didn't expect it from Shout. Very cool. It's all the better that Shout's uhd encodes have been consistently solid, of late.

Gosling wasn't exactly doing a lot of "warm n fuzzy" type feel-good projects around that time...All Good Things, Drive, Only God Forgives, The Place Beyond the Pines, and then wrote/directed Lost River, right in a row. Pretty weighty stuff. Blade Runner 2049 and First Man on the end of this string weren't exactly lightweights either.
