I don’t understand why they showed Silent Hill and Metal Gear AGAIN.

Bond, Pragmata, Bloodstained, and that Arc Marvel interested me so I’m happy. It was a surprisingly well-rounded SoP IMO.

Wolverine must be in development hell. I cant believe we still haven't seen anything from it, 4 years after it was announced.

Yeah, didn't the leak also say there was Venom DLC for Spider-Man 2? Guess that changed or maybe it's expanding into a standalone game like Miles Morales.

They were targeting an M rating for Wolverine, right? I hope they can keep that.

Meh, the way I see it, no bad game shown can erase the fact that some likely bangers were announced. After all, I have zero plans to play Baby Steps, so why would its existence kill my enthusiasm?

My takeaway: the official chat on YouTube was filled with embarrassing people saying L. Most couldn't tell a game when they saw known fonts. Like i could tell that was an MK kollection as soon as the first words were on screen.

I was being facetious, it was a good show. That being said…

If you were at a restaurant and they were serving you good food, then dropped a piece of crap on your plate, it might have an impact on your enthusiasm. The trailer for Baby Steps was literally about crap. I guess Sony invested in this game since they keep pushing it, pretty sure it was the same pair last time! Not a coincidence the initials are BS

Also skeptical about the new game from DigixArt (Tides of Tomorrow) because their previous two games were complete sh!te, have to wait and see if either of these are any good

Plenty of games today are on my radar, no big deal if a few aren’t for me. At least they didn’t waste half the show on some live service nonsense.

I'm up for Nioh 3 and Astro DLC, but otherwise the show didn't do much for me. The biggest disappointment for me is Silent Hill f. Any hope I had for a subtle, slow-burn horror experience has been deflated. Just looks like generic J-horror with the Silent Hill name attached to it, which is sad.

1st party absence aside, I saw a LOT that I want to play!

Pragmata
Sword of The Sea
007
Astrobot DLC
Arc's Marvel fighting game
Everybody's Golf Hot Shots
Silent Hill F
Ninja Gaiden
Metal Gear Solid Delta
Nioh 3
Ghost of Yotei

All in all I give it a solid 7/10. If we had gotten a Wolverine update and Saros gameplay it would've been a 9/10.

aside from the stuff that was already announced before, I'm looking forward to the MK Legacy Kollection. It's just a nostalgia thing. I'm not giving up on Silent Hill f. There wasn't a ton shown and for the most part, there was only one enemy type in the trailer with a few exceptions. That's not a deal breaker for me. It's not like there are tons of differnet enemies in Silent Hill 2. But if the story ends up being about 'bullying', then I'm out. That topic's just been done to death in video games.

Pragmata looked kinda....bland. I'm my opinion anyways. The 007 game could be cool but I can't say I'm hyped up about it either. What an odd choice to spend so much time on that Marvel Beat 'Em Up.

It wasn't awful but I did expect a little more.

Glad I'm not the only one. The game may very well play good and have a satisfying hook but visually it's extremely generic to me. Surprising considering it's CAPCOM. For sure a game I'd wait for reviews on.

False analogy. A bad game that you never play doesn't interfere with the good ones like that scenario.

Lol, the chats for any of these game shows are always trash, I just turn em off now.

For me, I'll give this one a B. Mostly interested in the stuff I already knew about (Metal Gear Delta, Ghost of Yotei, Silent Hill f). I am glad Silent Hill has a release date now.

As far as Resident Evil 9 is concerned, previous to this show the leaker stated that he expected updates on Pragmata and RE9. He thought one would be here at SoP and the other would possibly be at SGF25. So we did see Pragmata here, maybe RE9 is indeed coming soon.

It's not a false analogy, you are moving the goal post. Your original post said "no bad game shown" and now you changed it to "A bad game that you never play." I disagreed with your original position, I don't disagree with your updated position.

Besides, I didn't say it took anything away from the other games. I rated the show 10/10, then the game about a guy in long johns trying to take a crap was shown again and I struck that rating. The show was pretty good in spite of BS.

And who knows? Even though we both called it bad, it could be good! Apparently it almost made the presenter barf from laughter, I'm sure that is a ringing endorsement in some language.

Not even just Wolverine. I would say Insomniac.

Just really strange we haven't seen ANYTHING.

In terms of 1st party titles you’ve got to wonder what morale was like at the various studios during the disastrous Jim Ryan era. Due to the long development cycle of AAA titles his poor decisions are going to be felt for a long time, and I wonder if overall enthusiasm and productivity is still down. Between all the scrapped GAAS titles that no one wanted in the first place, and all the pitches for passion projects that must have been denied, it must have taken a real toll.
