Buy them together and have them sent as one parcel and that's what you might be able to save on postage.

For HMV orders, if you cancel (or haven't ordered) Brave New World. Then order BNW and Thunderbolts together. You get an option to ship together or separate. If you choose together, you only end up paying for shipping once, thus saving money.

The downside is that you have to wait until 9/10 to receive both. If you pick the option to ship separate, then you are charged shipping twice and save nothing.

Separate they came to $184.08 total. Shipped together they are $144.76. Saving $39.32.

Thanks for the explanation!

EDIT: Is this from HMV? I just made an account on HMV.com and cannot figure out how to find these pre-releases.

Be sure to ignore the "WorldShopping" option that might appear (see my post on the previous page which shows how to dismiss/ignore it). If you end up using WorldShopping, that service will charge you their own inflated shipping/forwarding fees.

$81.39 for me through hmv Japan which includes two extra fees but not the international shipping costs.

I cancelled the order I had pending to create a new order for this, Captain America, and the Japan 40th anniversary release of 1984 Dune.

Came to 30970 Yen, or US$216 shipped for the 3 titles.

Looks like I made a tactical mistake. I received an email from Tenso saying the price more than doubled, since stock ran out. Probably based on the delay between me placing the order, and Tenso placing the purchase. So I canceled the order.

I should have ordered directly to the tenso address off of Amazon jp, while it was still in stock. *sigh. Live and learn.

Maybe you aren't using the right search term. The film is called Brave New World.

See https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=373595 - Amazon links are in the first post.

Yes, I made that mistake. Though WorldShopping also allow orders to be combined at least.

Aha! Thanks for the links! I used HMV.com instead of HMV.co.jp, so that explains it. Duh. LOL.

How are you placing orders on HMV Japan? Seems to be a super complicated mess. I managed to get to the order confirmation where it asks me to enter my credit card information and that’s where I’m stuck. Any help is appreciated!

As a last resort, EBay.com will often get these Marvel Japan Blu ray 3D 4K sets on there through individual sellers, though they tend to charge $82 with free shipping from what I've seen in the past. Haven't checked there for Thunderbolts 3D yet. A 100% or 99% seller rating is important I'll add, but I think Ebay eased up on those stats recently in favor of the sellers, probably when they get some very picky/easily upset buyers over time.

Not to mention requiring multiple re-logins and captcha entries throughout, and wanting my birthdate info. It made the whole thing feel sketchy, but it seems to have eventually worked and I have a confirmed email for my order.

If there are others unfamiliar to HMV Japan/Lawson registration like I was, be ready for this.
You did well as I gave up as soon as they wanted me to register a second set of details.

Complicated and too many steps, agreed. I gave up considering them.

If you are using a pop up block or vpn it may be blocking the authorization part. After you enter all your info and then click submit (for me) it pulled up Capital One processing window that required I confirmed through text. And then it brought me back to the site and completed.

Something may be blocking that part on your side.

HMV is just way to high on their shipping charge. They were wanting to charge me 5700 yen to ship to the US. That's ridiculous. It was gonna make the total around $91.00.

I asked because the release stateside was announced which is what people have based the Japan release predictions off, which I do think have been accurate as a range of weeks. I was actually surprised there wasn't discussion about that already here, but as long as it's formally allowed I do enjoy seeing those predictions even if they do not turn out to be correct.

If it ends up being like Brave New World, it won't pop up on YesAsia until a couple weeks before the release date. It was very strange of them, but it's how it happened.

There's a fair churn of these movies so each one has to fit into a fairly tight window before the next one and the Japanese listing usually comes around the time when the movie hits streaming so the speculation isn't as interesting as it used to be for me. Having said that, if you want to go over to the Fantastic Four thread and start asking people when they think the disc will be released, feel free.

A lot of people complained about how they handled Deadpool & Wolverine so it's not strange that they are not listing subsequent Japanese MCU titles until they know exactly how many they are getting and when.
