It's amazing how in a few of those shots, KL actually comes pretty close, and in others it's... not so close.

Gat dayum the Kino encode is terrible. The difference in some of these shots is night and day.

Looks like it but while (I believe) Kino’s EL fills in a tad more detail, it’s not night and day and so the comparison gives you a good idea of what to expect.

Almost all the studios/labels across the pond do not encode well, it by no means is limited to Kino and includes the often praised labels there.

To this day I have to point out how a poor job at encoding is done there to the reseller posts of said labels who not surprisingly also spread a lot of manure about FiM.

Well in case you didn’t hear, you’re in luck! The Masters of Cinema line now has limited booklets just like everyone else. So just wait a while and you’ll get it cheaper with less paper
